LAprice_ Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I'm slightly disappointed that his international career ended so early. After all, he's 3rd choice CB for Premier League champions. Sure he's 36 but he's got bags of experience, super fitness and would surely be good enough as back-up? Poland aren't exactly known for their great centre-backs. Then again, playing for Leicester is probably a hindrance on an international career. Forget Drinkwater for a second, I'd like to know what Marc Albrighton has to do to get in the team.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 tbh, playing for the champions or not. He needs games at his age to justify a call up really.
Fox92 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 He'll start the first game of the season too with Huth suspended. I hope not. Hopefully we've signed a younger solid centre half by then.
Brainy Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Signed a new contract according to himself on Instagram
UPinCarolina Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Well, that settles it. Getting a Wasyl shirt made up.
Wymsey Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Need scarier Wasilewski masks. This one looks too innocent.
smiggy6773 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Great news, good to have him at the champions for another year!!
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Already got one! Fair enough I seem to remember it now actually at the back of the Kop.
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Really surprised by this. Quite pleased, but surprised. I fully expected Ranieri to thank him for his efforts but politely tell him it's best for both if he moved on. All the best for next season, Marcin, I know we can trust you to give your all when you take to the field for us in future!
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 He is a good defender and has done well when called upon to play for us in that defensive back line. Everton (h) last game of the season, Wasilewski was excellent alongside Morgan. Nice to have some decent cover ahead of next season's competitions.
simpmeister Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 So pleased about this and pleased for Wasyl! One of my favourite ever City players. A true professional and one of the last of a dying breed of truely intimidating centre backs.
Fox92 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Surprised he got a new deal tbf. I think his experience off field is more valuable than on field.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Great news. Think he'll feature quite a bit in the CL, can't burn Huth and Morgan out twice a week and he's great cover
Fox92 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 We do need a quality centre half though, can't be going into the season with nobody pushing Huth and Morgan again.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I am going to elbow an innocent person to celebrate. That shouldn't of made me laugh But it did

Agree we still need another CB. I thought Hernandez was supposedly close to signing but that deal seems to have gone a little quiet. Hernandez seems to be well rated.
Thracian Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Really pleased for Was. Great servant with a terrific attitude. Wears the Spirit of Leicester on his heart or the Spirit of Leicester was borrowed from his own. Still a decent player. Just imagine us having a Berahino with folk like Wasil, Huth and Morgan around.

Nesta, Cannavaro, Maldini, Baresi. No reason for Wasyl to not still be an integral part of the team. He was flawless last season apart from giving away the free kick to Arsenal. Did he get his medal in the end?
