HoustonFox Posted 29 June 2016 Posted 29 June 2016 Not sure we are getting him for inverse winger, he's not played there so maybe replacement for Chilly and cover for LB/LM. Am sure for £12M he'd have to be starting at some point or is £12M the new £1.2M?

foxes21 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 I just cant see him as a left back in this team. As a winger, yes! gerrrim in! But as a full back I don't think he's good enough defensively .
Gerard Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 I just cant see him as a left back in this team. As a winger, yes! gerrrim in! But as a full back I don't think he's good enough defensively . Perhaps could be a full back in a 4-3-3 formation with three defensive minded midfielders?
foxes21 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Perhaps could be a full back in a 4-3-3 formation with three defensive minded midfielders? Norwich/Hull fans, are saying Brady's wasted at full back. But he could work in that 4-3-3 system as you say. We'd need to sign an attack minded right back also.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/robbie-brady-centre-four-way-8316756.amp?client=safari# "Four way tussle" Thought myself Stoke would be interested and similar sized clubs such as Southampton and West Brom.
Grewks Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Being able to change to and play different systems is something i imagine may be needed next season. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a return to the 3-5-2 we played at the back end under Pearson, which although results suggest otherwise, I believed we were more effective at. ...........................................Kasper ...........................Wes..........Huth.........Fuchs .Albrighton..........Kante.........................Mendy..................Brady ...........................................Mahrez ................................Vardy...............New ST Zieler, simpson, drinky, schlupp, okazaki, ulloa, gray etc king, james, de laet, wasil, etc.

We'll be playing a back four next season for sure, if it ain't broke........................
dpjfox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 all quiet on this potential deal i assumed it would be a quick procedure once he returned from Euros , must be on holiday
mozartfox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 On holiday at Rudder's chalet in Butlins Skegness. Signing imminent.
foxes21 Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 just a thought, if we are switching to 4-3-3 could we be signing Brady to compete for the left of the center mid positions? He played there for Ireland and looked really good, very versatile player! Drinkwater-Mendy-Kante King-Amartey-Brady Not bad back up
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Why has this gone quite, I want Brady to be our attacking option at left full back. Get rid of Chilwell then.
Gerard Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Brady would be good enough for our squad no doubt but I don't see why we need him, he's not a big enough upgrade on what we already have.
AjcW Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Why has this gone quite, I want Brady to be our attacking option at left full back. Get rid of Chilwell then. Players get at least an extra week off after the Euros, even if they haven't played much. I'm dealing with someone who was a squad player at the Euros at the minute with work and even he is on his holidays before Pre Season. You wont here anything on players from Euros for a week or so yet i'd imagine.
Babylon Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Not sure where he fits in unless Chilwell goes now. With Schlupp, Mahrez, Albrighton, Gray, Musa all more than capable of covering the wings.
