Guest Col city fan Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 You and Babs Col best buddies Not on your nelly!
AKCJ Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 The more I see him play the more I think he would fit in an absolute treat here. Passionate young lad with ties to United youth sides, workaholic, type to put his body on the line, genuine quality in his left foot, would likely be willing to spend time on the bench. Get him lads.

I very much doubt he is willing to sit on the bench and don't think I would want him if he is. I don't want players like Logan happy to sit on the bench for 10yrs. We need players that want to fight for a place. But also we don't want brats that throw toys out the pram.
tsintskaro Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Is he much better than Albrighton? I doubt dont see reason club buying him
Corky Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 With the PL title, CL football next season, Shouldn't we be aiming for higher? Not every signing we make is going to be stellar. As we've seen we've improved with lesser known or lesser heralded players. It's good to have a mixture in the squad.
sdb Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Good player but gut feeling is it's a lot of money for a player we don't really need...
englebert Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Is he much better than Albrighton? I doubt dont see reason club buying him This forum is so frustrating. Just how many games per season do you expect Albrighton to play 90 minutes in?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 This forum is so frustrating. Just how many games per season do you expect Albrighton to play 90 minutes in?I think it is taking us all a bit of getting used to with us being Premier League Champions and in the campions leagueWe will be buying quality players but whoever we buy will rotate due to the volume of games we will be playing

Bit of a difference between wbeing willing to spend some time on the bench and doing a Logan. All i'm saying is that he won't be expecting to be first on the team sheet but would be willing to help out from the bench.
tsintskaro Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 This forum is so frustrating. Just how many games per season do you expect Albrighton to play 90 minutes in? Albrighton was subbed almost in every game and there is no problem with substitutions I just dont see point buying a player who is not better then the ones who already are in the team. Left wing needs upgrade, someone who will replace Albrighton not Brady of course
Steven Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 With the PL title, CL football next season, Shouldn't we be aiming for higher? Yes.
dpjfox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 i doubt we would get him for the reported £7million, difficult to understand any objections to signing this lad.
PatrykJ14 Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 I think Norwich will reject offer of 7million for him
Tuna Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Every possibility he'll have a relegation release clause.
1972 Fox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Didnt Pearson want him 2-3 years back? Probably yes. It was Pearson that signed him from Man Utd for Hull.
Gerard Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Albrighton was subbed almost in every game and there is no problem with substitutions I just dont see point buying a player who is not better then the ones who already are in the team. Left wing needs upgrade, someone who will replace Albrighton not Brady of course I agree, we have four players fighting for two wide positions in Mahrez, Albrighton, Schlupp & Gray. All of them are worthy of a place in the team but out of those four it's basically Mahrez and one other. If we are to sign a 5th I want him to be a class above Albrighton, Schlupp and Gray not at a similar level. A marquee type signing would be great and what would be ideal is signing a Mahrez like player who can play wide left in a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 and possibly could play No10 as well. Brady is a good player but is he worth it to us when we already have Albrighton, Schlupp and a young Demarai Gray who needs game time to develop?
Babylon Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 A marquee type signing We don't do marquee signings. The stuff coming out of the club has all pointed towards carrying on with the way we've done things before, that's buying hungry players with the right attitude and something to prove. Then giving them a platform to grow and succeed in a team with the same mentality, it works. Perhaps, Brady like the other will make a step up and thrive in that environment. He could easily prove to be better than three of the four wingers we currently have.
Nickfosse Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 I'm really not quite sure what our recruitment team have to achieve before we trust them.

Schlupp is nowhere near as good as Mahrez, Albrighton or Gray and can, and should be, easily replaced.
Babylon Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 I'm really not quite sure what our recruitment team have to achieve before we trust them. Indeed... for each of the last three or four seasons the comments about signings have been. "Why aren't we buying players better than those in the first 11, we won't progress doing that". And yet we've found ourselves gaining promotion, staying up and winning the league.
