Vardinio'sCat Posted 22 September 2016 Posted 22 September 2016 Super response from Shinji, well done my san. His LCFC goals showreel is going to be really, really special. I think he is still important to us, and we look far more solid when he is on the pitch. Wouldn't start him over Slim or Vards though.
fuchsntf Posted 22 September 2016 Posted 22 September 2016 Potential now to become our supersub..He will need goals from the bench though. From the Bench, Musa Okazaki and Ulloa this season when called upon , all will now need goals. Ulloa advantage could be, if needed could come on and support a defensive game....
Drygon Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 I'd much rather to have Okazaki in the up-coming games instead of Slimani. The Japanese would offers much more for Leicester whereas the Algerian's only trick is just scoring headers.

foxes21 Posted 24 September 2016 Author Posted 24 September 2016 we missed his energy/pressing today.
splinterdream Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 the space between the midfield and attack was too large due to Utd pressing. We need 5 in midfield against the bigger sides and we would see the difference, Slimani is a far better forward than Shinji in my opinion
lgfualol Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 Shinji is a good shout when we play away if we want to consist with 2 in the middle. He's just a shit striker (inb4 he scored twice against Chelsea with two gifted goals) which is a problem for when we attack.
foxes21 Posted 24 September 2016 Author Posted 24 September 2016 Yeah if we continue to play 4-4-2 away from home against the big sides, it had to be Shinji imo. He's basically a third CM anyway.
adam Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 I don't remember him being much use at liverpool.
Koke Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 Yeah Shinji played away at Liverpool and we lost 4-1 and he got hooked at HT cos he was truly shocking. It's the "All Yakubu does is score goals" argument again.
desertfox2 Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 Slimani isn't called the dragon slayer for nothing. Has to play against Porto.
Fox92 Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 Needed to play today. 4411. Okazaki in and drop either Vardy or Slimani.

sdb Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 The thing is we now have a really good, deep squad. There's a time and a place for almost all of them. Sadly we seem to have a favoured XI we're going to stick with regardless. As above, he probably should've started today if going 442.
Chico1958 Posted 25 September 2016 Posted 25 September 2016 I'd play him every week.................... at least it looks like he cares.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 As the title says, a classy performance from Okazaki today. Thought he particularly stood out. His hold up play was magnificent, as well as his technical ability on the ball. Made a number of tidy turns and linked it up well.
Thracian Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Accomplished display - probably his best of the season. Much missed when he went off.

He looked more confident, probably on the back of his milestone goal for Japan he's been chasing for a while. We're crying out for someone else to play the number 10 role though. It was the same when Nugent was here, maybe for some reason we're only allowed one of those types of forward - doesn't help when the one we have can only last an hour.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 I'd go all out for Sigursson but they'd be about eight other clubs in for him.
Max Power Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Big dick Shinj was quality today, great touches to compliment the work rate
Chester Dontlie Posted 13 May 2017 Posted 13 May 2017 Highlight of the day! Observe Otamendi conveniently slipping on his arse so he can appreciate the beauty of Shinji's goal better
melrose Posted 13 May 2017 Posted 13 May 2017 Nice goal today and we can't fault him for putting in two thirds of a shift every week but what a pitiful goals return Consequently, it's a no from me!
