TiffToff88 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Yes, that absolutely awful TV Series that dragged on forever and got absolutely nowhere, yet i still love it! So i have the full box set, and every now and then, me and the Mrs realise that there's bugger all on TV and we decide to binge watch the entire 6 series. We tend to watch the whole thing once a year, and last night she decided its time we get started on it again at the weekend. It goes round in circles, and as i stated above, gets absolutely nowhere in the end. I want to hate it, i should hate it, its terrible. But i just cant get enough of it. and i have no idea what the appeal is?! EDIT: Yes, im aware there is probably already a thread on it, but have you tried searching the word "lost" on a predominantly football based forum??
Larry_LCFC Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 I watched the first few series when it was on Channel 4 originally and was really into it. It did start to get a bit confusing but then Sky nicked it and I really cant face it now. So many series.
TiffToff88 Posted 30 June 2016 Author Posted 30 June 2016 did you never find out how it all ended then?
Guest Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Don't think a TV show ever pissed me off as much as this. sometimes think I should give it another watch but then remember how pointless it was. If you like it good for you though
Larry_LCFC Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 did you never find out how it all ended then? No. Cant remember how many series were on channel 4. I imagine it finished by them realising it wasn't a desert island after all and Vegas was a mile down the road or some shit.
TiffToff88 Posted 30 June 2016 Author Posted 30 June 2016 No. Cant remember how many series were on channel 4. I imagine it finished by them realising it wasn't a desert island after all and Vegas was a mile down the road or some shit. That would have been a better ending!
AKCJ Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 First episode was good. Then it became shit when they were no longer lost.
Beliall Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Fantastic series overall with the worst ending to any TV series.
Babylon Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 It was incredible to begin with, I don't think you'd get the same feeling from binge watching the show for the first time. Half the fun was spending the week trying to work out what the bloody hell was going on with friends and workmates, ripping your hair out when they left it on the cliff hanger or didn't answer / explain something. It was like a drug... as soon as that screen went black at the end of an episode, I just wanted more and more. Yes it lost its way and in the end it was all a bit meh, but there were some truely brilliant episodes and it really did make you care about the people and their lives.
Guest Manini Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 First two seasons were out of this world. Then it just turned in to a massive, massive mess. It became a bit of a parody of itself
foxoffderby Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 I watched the first series than it just began to piss me off more and more. Gave up half way series 2

That reminds me of the feeling I had for Prison Break series 1 and some of the better 24's. It's that weekly gap / regular commitment that adds to it all as well.
nnfox Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 It started off brilliantly but to me, there was clearly a plot that was a good story for two series, maybe three but the producers saw that it was a money maker so extended it beyond its natural conclusion. In the end they were just making it up as they went along and the ending was the worst ending in television history. So disappointed.
Spiritwalker Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 I can't remember when it happened, but this went from my favourite thing on TV to something I couldn't be arsed watching anymore. What was it all about in the end ? Someone told me that they were all in purgatory.

During the first 2 series of Prison Break there were some episodes that wouldfinish and I would find myself literally sitting on the edge of my seat.
goose2010 Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Randomly enough I've started watching it again recently with the misses who had never watched it, I forgot how good the first two and half series were some great TV. It does get a bit daft to be fair but still definitely worth a watch if you have some spare time. Watching for the second time makes you realise from the first episode that they knew where they were going rather than just making it up as you go along which i must say it felt like they were doing when watching it the first time! I've recently re watched all of prison break to and they were all great series not sure about it coming back though should of just left it.
SystonFox Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 17 posts and not one image of the fit birds in lost. Shocker
Hollism Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 First 2.5-3 season are phenomenal television. It starts to go downhill when the flash forwards come about.
Christoph Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 After the first season it just goes downhill. The second season was a bit better but after that it was one big wank with no cumshot.
rico Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 I actually liked the last series when they were off the island

purpleronnie Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Loved it, problem is that it makes most new series boring in comparison.
deejdeej Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 I loved LOST 1st season- immense 2nd season- almost as good 3rd season- good 4 and 5- Sh*te 6- Meh it had its moments. The first 2 seasons got me addicted enough to stay interested throughout the rest I think. Could have been so much better with better writers through the later seasons.
