LOST (The TV Series)

Yes, that absolutely awful TV Series that dragged on forever and got absolutely nowhere, yet i still love it!

So i have the full box set, and every now and then, me and the Mrs realise that there's bugger all on TV and we decide to binge watch the entire 6 series. We tend to watch the whole thing once a year, and last night she decided its time we get started on it again at the weekend.

It goes round in circles, and as i stated above, gets absolutely nowhere in the end. I want to hate it, i should hate it, its terrible. But i just cant get enough of it. and i have no idea what the appeal is?!

EDIT: Yes, im aware there is probably already a thread on it, but have you tried searching the word "lost" on a predominantly football based forum??

I watched the first few series when it was on Channel 4 originally and was really into it. It did start to get a bit confusing but then Sky nicked it and I really cant face it now. So many series.

Don't think a TV show ever pissed me off as much as this. sometimes think I should give it another watch but then remember how pointless it was.

If you like it good for you though :D

did you never find out how it all ended then?

No. Cant remember how many series were on channel 4. I imagine it finished by them realising it wasn't a desert island after all and Vegas was a mile down the road or some shit.

That would have been a better ending!

It was incredible to begin with, I don't think you'd get the same feeling from binge watching the show for the first time. Half the fun was spending the week trying to work out what the bloody hell was going on with friends and workmates, ripping your hair out when they left it on the cliff hanger or didn't answer / explain something. It was like a drug... as soon as that screen went black at the end of an episode, I just wanted more and more.

Yes it lost its way and in the end it was all a bit meh, but there were some truely brilliant episodes and it really did make you care about the people and their lives.

First two seasons were out of this world. Then it just turned in to a massive, massive mess.

It became a bit of a parody of itself

That reminds me of the feeling I had for Prison Break series 1 and some of the better 24's.

It's that weekly gap / regular commitment that adds to it all as well.

It started off brilliantly but to me, there was clearly a plot that was a good story for two series, maybe three but the producers saw that it was a money maker so extended it beyond its natural conclusion.  In the end they were just making it up as they went along and the ending was the worst ending in television history.  So disappointed.

I can't remember when it happened, but this went from my favourite thing

on TV to something I couldn't be arsed watching anymore. What was it all

about in the end ? Someone told me that they were all in purgatory.

During the first 2 series of Prison Break there were some episodes that would

finish and I would find myself literally sitting on the edge of my seat.

Randomly enough I've started watching it again recently with the misses who had never watched it, I forgot how good the first two and half series were some great TV. It does get a bit daft to be fair but still definitely worth a watch if you have some spare time. Watching for the second time makes you realise from the first episode that they knew where they were going rather than just making it up as you go along which i must say it felt like they were doing when watching it the first time!

I've recently re watched all of prison break to and they were all great series not sure about it coming back though should of just left it.

After the first season it just goes downhill. The second season was a bit better but after that it was one big wank with no cumshot.

I actually liked the last series when they were off the island

I loved LOST

1st season- immense

2nd season- almost as good

3rd season- good

4 and 5- Sh*te

6- Meh it had its moments.

The first 2 seasons got me addicted enough to stay interested throughout the rest I think. Could have been so much better with better writers through the later seasons.
