WiFoxes Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 I think I would go with: Kasper Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs Mahrez Mendy Drinkwater Gray Musa Vardy But I think we'll see Albrighton on the wing and Shinji behind Vardy. And I don't think I could really complain about that. Musa can come on as an impact sub to run their already tired and unfit defenders into the ground. Think this will be tougher than many are expecting. 2-1 Leicester.
gurru991 Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Regardless of who we play there will be no easy games in the Premier League this year for us. Teams like Hull & Sunderland will go into a shell & play for a single point & that will make them hard to beat. We will need to score early to take the ten man defence option away from them.

Should probably play Fuchs just ahead of Chillwell and Schlupp as joint left backs if we want to try and keep the score line respectable

cc_star Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 A more difficult game than many are predicting. I think Ranieri used the Community Shield to give the title winning team a chance to shine in the starting lineup, and they didn't really take it. That gets the sentimentality out of the way leaving him to pick the best 11 he thinks can do the job. I'm not sure Mahrez's head is in the right place and this game could be hard work, with no room for a passenger Obviously Ranieri has earned our confidence, so whatever he does is fine by me Schmeichel Simpson Hernandez Morgan Fuchs Albrighton Drinkwater Mendes Gray Musa Vardy Zieler, Wasilewski, Mahrez, Okazaki, Ulloa, King, Sclupp/Kapustka
Lesteban Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Missed the press conference yesterday, any clue as to whether Musa/Gray will start? Or if Wasil or Hernandez will play at CB?

CPW22 Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Really excited for this game now. I'd take a win of any margin, I feel a bit like if we lose the media will all be waiting to slate us. Kasper Simpson Waysl Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinky King Schlupp Okazaki Vardy

tyfox Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 I have a feeling they might be galvanised by all the bad situation they find themselves in. This may be a very tough game, I would take any kind of a win here but if we score early it may be open season on the break

Not to be unfair on Gray but given Schlupp's time at LB. Gray on with 30/25 to go maybe.
Jimbo Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 King will start in the middle with Drinkwater, Hernandez in for the suspended Huth. Other than that it'll be the same as the 1st 11 from last season. I just want a win, this has banana skin written all over it. The current champions kicking the season off at the earlier kickoff time against a team promoted last season who have lost their manager, have 8 or 9 fit 1st team players no new signings etc etc If last season taught us anything, and you'd think we'd know better than most, it's that you can never write off the underdog! (it's great being back to a normal Leicester fan ) If we start this season the way we did last then I'm sure I'll start to know the difference between nerves and excitement because wight now I'm not sure what I expect from this season
les-tah Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 still would like to know how good this kapustka can be.. would like to see him feature..
Balgair Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 I can't wait! This is the only time I enjoy getting up early on Saturdays. Match is 07:30 Indy time...
moseeds Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 This forum never ceases to amaze me. There's fans suggesting benching the PFA player of the year in the opening game of the season based on a few preseason performances. Amazing.

Yer true but against hull maybe we can afford to go a bit attacking were with arsenal the following week i would definitely agree
lgfualol Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Pls no King and Drinky midfield two, that would be giving Hull a chance.

'Schlupp work harder defensively' you say. Not it if any previous evidence is anything to go by - Gray far and away the more conscientious in that respect. The other day Jeff came on at left back, and they scored almost immediately from a cross from that side. Gray was blamed for not stopping the cross from going in.... Where the **** was Jeff? Answer: Behind Gray 5 - 10 yds from the crosser of the ball.

Tuna Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Kasper, Fuchs, wes, was, Simpson, Gray, drinkwater, mendy, mahrez, okazaki, vardy. Subs zieler, Hernandez, ulloa, albrighton, schlupp, king, musa. Huge banana skin potential, anything other than a comfortable victory would be unthinkable! !!
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 This is what I think it will be: Kasper Simpson Hernandez Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Albrighton Musa Vardy. Possibly Okazaki might be in for Musa, or Gray for Albrighton.
