Too many IMO making negative, boring, too carefull , too timid team selections. We stick our chests out, we are champions, we know who we are, We have something new to offer, let the opposition, strong or weak, worry about us..!! #either you believe the failed pundits and experts, that we are a 1 season wonder, and chicken it. #Or you believe we kicked off a new era of success, since our return to the PL. #There is no pussyfooting it, trying to be too carefull. PL champions shouldnt do carefull, or have doubt. #Arrogance in prudency, we should again start to strutt our stuff. I thought this was a poem..
tyfox Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 I can't wait for this match. I'm still buzzing from what we achieved last season. COYF
Happy Fox Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Team for me Kasper Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Mendy Schlupp Okazaki Vardy Subs: Zieler, Musa, Gray, King, Chilwell, Albrighton and Benny 2-0 Win Vardy and Schlupp with the goals Top of the league
ajthefox Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Anyone got a ticket towards the back they want to swap for a ticket at the front? I don't want to be sat down all game but I'm worried I'm going to be surrounded by people who want to sit. (I had no choice in where my ticket was before anyone suggests I shouldn't have picked the wrong place.)

Mahrez DD Kingy Albrighton. Shinji JV. Gray for Albrighton at some point and Musa and Jeff on at some point unless injury or tactical change required. Easy ! Mendy for King and you might be right.

talking_goldfish Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 I see a lot of people posting teams in here and the general consensus seems to be: Kasper Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Mendy Albrighton Musa Vardy However, I would swap Albrighton for Gray as I believe he will cut through their defence and add (even more) pace to our front line, I would also swap Mendy for Amartey as I believe he would be much more effective at breaking up the play than Mendy. The team I think Claudio will actually start with is: Kasper Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Mendy Albrighton Okazaki Vardy But with Gray, Mahrez, Musa and Vardy running at their defensive line I think we could potentially see something quite special on the opening day (although I'd take a scrappy 1-0 off Shinji's back)
Out Foxed Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 can someone dissuade me from putting a large bet on at -1 Leicester. I'm looking at their squad and thinking how aren't we beating these handily?

Salieri Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Mendy Gray Musa Vardy That would be the team for me. The only position I was torn over was Okazaki or Musa. Definitely want to see Gray get a start over Albrighton. Oh, and 2-0 victory to set us on our way nicely.

sdb Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Out work them first and foremost. That to me means Albrighton and Shinji. If and when we need a bit of class, we can then look to Gray and/or Musa. We should be OK to use King but long term he won't be an adequate replacement for NG.

No way is Kingy a replacement for NK (or NG?) , different type of player .... Mendy, James or Amartey are 3 possibles ... If not we make do or ship in someone else. Mendy is still unproven but the other two have shown that with improvement they could do the job ... IMO.

I would argue that James is the unproven commodity, given his lack of meaningful minutes post-injury. It would not shock me to see him start King, as that has been the pre-season lineup. I do think that after seeing PSG and Barcelona, as well as the Community Shield, that Andy King may find himself in his familiar impact sub role. Either way, I cannot wait to find myself in the pub bright and early on Saturday cheering on the Foxes. It's great to see the PL return for another season, and even better to know that the Foxes are the reigning champions of England!
TheMightySystem Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs Mahrez Amartey Drinkwater Albrighton Okazaki Vardy
GeorgeTheFox Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 This isn't going to be as easy as some may think. Expect them to sit back and play for a draw. Hopefully we'll have the quality to come away with a win though
Old Fox Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Schmeichel simpson fuchs morgan hernandez albrighton mendy drinkwater schlupp okazaki vardy Won't be the team as I think Mahrez and King will start but I would leave Riyad out if he is as distracted as he appeared last week....may seem mad but just want us to match their work rate as this will be a lot tougher than most expect!!
foxfan92 Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Difficulty playing against a team like Hull with all the problems they are facing off the pitch and the lack of fit players forcing some to maybe play out of position etc is they will be parking the bus and looking to hit us on counter. We may even find ourselves like we did a man up against Bournmouth - one way traffic all the possession but no way through. May end up having to adapt our attack and play Ulloa to give us a target to aim at in their box.
foxfan92 Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 I think so too. Think our new signings (Hernandez the exception because of Huth suspension) will start off on the bench meaning Drinkwater and King likely to start in the middle of midfield as has been the case in preseason. Obviously Amarity is a possibility there too but just feel Ranieri will play King.
EnglishOxide Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 People worrying about Hull digging in. Don't worry, if it's a war of attrition we have the edge, as we did last season. No teams outworked us really, we have superior conditioning and our lads have had a great pre season workout. We've just got to make sure the quality is there so Vardy, Mahrez and Drinkwater need to be lively. But if they're not we have Gray, Musa, Kaputska, Mendy and Schluup to come on.
Brooksy Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Kasper Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Mendy Albrighton Vardy Okazaki 0-3. Vardy brace and Okazaki. We'll be too good for them.
