Nalis Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Mostly 7s, thought King was harshly criticised in the match thread. Albrighton was about a 5 for me but he had to play ahead of Gray as he's better defensively.

Mostly 7s only one who may have been less today was Albrighton. Just didn't seem to have his range right. Musa looks good, could have done with a bit longer.

Everyone left everything on the pitch and this team would have destroyed Hull. 8s for Simpson, Morgan some outstanding pieces of defending. 8 Albrighton put an absolute shift in 8 Mahrez had some superb little passes and touches and contributed defensively a few times. 9 for Okazaki, he put one hell of a shift and was so much more effective and stronger than last season.

You're right though, other than that he didn't really put a foot wrong.

lfu Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Huth, Fuchs and Simpson put in performances they could be proud of. Mahrez was on good form, Drinkwater and Albrighton were very good and King played infinitely better than last week. Mendy was the best I've seen him at so far, it'll be a big loss for us if he's out for long. Musa created some good chances, but again he has to shoot more instead of passing it in the box if he has an opportunity! Schmeichel played well, but his distribution was lacking here and there. The only players I could say I'm disappointed in were Vardy and Ulloa, who seemed to miss a lot of balls that came their way, but they weren't awful out there either.

Was he playing above himself last season? Drinkwater 8 MOTM . Such a quality midfielder. I think he can do the Kante role if we get someone decent alongside him Mendy 6 Shame he got an injury as he was improving. Showed his frustration at times Mahrez 8 That run near the end was majestic. A privilege to watch him play for our club Vardy 6 Better than last week but not yet at his best Okasaki 6 Worked hard and linked play well i thought Ulloa did really well when he came on. We need to find a way to fit Musa in the 11. Too good to leave out.

As a keeper he did everything to protect the net, his diving header at the end was brilliant, but in the first half he did start to come then stopped and could have been stranded. It was the usual mixed bag of distribution, but some of the time it wasn't his fault, Vardy turned his back on one and another one caught Mahrez on his heels. But I would much rather him boot it long than piss about with short goal kicks like Cech did a couple of times and nearly got in trouble.

Pure class 8 Mahrez back to his old self 8 Drinkwater Motm. Controlled the midfield 6 Mendy doing ok until his injury. Looked nasty. I expect at least a month out. 7 Albrighton a much stronger defender than Gray. Doesn't look fully fit going forward 8 Okazaki great link up, and better at staying on his feet 7 Vardy good runs but finishing not sharp yet 7 King did well covering Mendy 6 Ulloa OK. Good defending but not a threat 8 Musa real threat. Great signing and should have been on sooner. Nailed on pen. Needs more clinical finishing. 4 Arsenal nothing special. Coq should have been off. Not going to make top 4 with this team. 3 Officials. Not up to standard.

Okazaki worked hard but a bit disappointing compared with recent appearances. Great to see Huth back and on form, and Morgan much improved. Some good glimpses from Mahrez. Perhaps start Musa ahead of Albrighton?
Fox92 Posted 21 August 2016 Posted 21 August 2016 Gave everyone a 7 except Drinkwater who was an 8 and clearly MOTM yet again. Clattenburg, the best referee in this Country, just had a poor game. Wasn't biased to any side. Not moaning too much about the penalty considering we got one last week when we shouldn't have. Arsenal 8 - Love watching Arsenal, they are brilliant.

Rasmic123 Posted 21 August 2016 Posted 21 August 2016 Drinky, fuchs, simpson and morgan excellent for me. Only disappointment was albrighton as his crossing and attacking play was fairly loose. Has to play for me though, helps fuchs out defensively and makes us much more solid
