Fun fact about Jaffa Cakes: Although McVities are aware that Jaffa Cakes are eaten as a substitute for biscuits, they have classed them as cakes since 1991 for tax purposes. Seriously, for tax purposes.

Also, cakes go hard when stale, biscuits go soft. Personally i've never had the self control to leave a jaffa cake for long enough to go stale in order to find out what it does.

If buying, always go for normal Digestives, prefer them to Chocolate Digestives. However, I haven't bought any for about two years my other half works at United Biscuits so she brings back all types regularly!

Buscuits are ace. Here we go. Fox's Finger Creams. Real old peoples biscuits, taste gorgeous but make you feel old buying them. Cover them up with other groceries to help protect your reputation.

M&S All Butter Sultana. I swear I get a stiffy eating these. They are gorgeous, very buttery and have been in M&S for years.

I miss Fox's Sports badly. Used to get 4 for 2p off the biscuit lady at school when I was in my first year at infants . They stopped making them only about three years ago I think. Gutted, a real hole in my life when some goon decided to rid the world of these lovely plain biscuits.

NB - just done a search, may still be in Morrisons. Off there in the morning now.

Oh, Fig Rolls. If you need a good dump, these go straight through you. Another old persons biscuit. Not my cup of tea Fig Rolls.

I love Danish butter biscuits, always treat myself to a tin when I'm getting all the Christmas shit

There's 3 things that manage to get me through all that Christmas bullshit and everyone being so damn Christmassy and excited:

Danish biscuits

Pigs in blankets

Copious amounts of alcohol.

Just stick me in a room with plenty of those 3 for a week over Christmas until it's all over and done with, and I'll be happy lol

Tip: have pigs in blankets with every Sunday dinner. I don't know what arsehole made them an annual thing, they are far too good. But yeah I tend to agree with that!

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not stupid enough to just have them at Christmas (seriously who does that?!), but for some reason, I tend to go overboard with them at Christmas time

Jaffa cake is not a biscuit. And anyone who has digestive above hobnobs, needs taking out.

This went to court years back and the court ruled that it was a cake and not a biscuit - meaning that it is a food item, not a luxury, so has no VAT on it....

I’ll resist the temptation to mock cake not being luxury and biscuits are, to bask in smugness.
