I don't think Sporting wants to negotiate any player with WBA.

I believe WBA to be a back up plan : Less money, from what it is reported, but in case talks  break with Leicester, we go for it

Well then unless pay up what Bruno wants or another club comes in for him, he will be scoring goals for us :)

PS: I really want him to go to Leicester: he deserves it, and I think he's the perfect fit for BPL and Leicester wanting to mantain as a serious contender. WBA is not good enough for him IMO so here's hoping

Hello again lads, Sporting fan back for an update of what's being said here in Portugal:

Just as in England, some sport's media (although not very credible around here, particularly with Sporting) the deal is stalled: if Schweini actually comes here (!!) I think Adrien and Slimani will be yours. Otherwise, I believe neither will be Leicester players, Slimani maybe going to WBA or another club (can't see him staying, we've signed Bas Dost) and Adrien will stay here.

Now I know that Schweini is very, very expensive in wages, but hey, Bruno de Carvalho (president) has like made a suprise signing every year so far: in his first year we signed Leonardo Jardim, a good manager, which we lacked for basically 15 years, next year he signed Nani on loan (keep in mind thta we were bankrupt, at rock bottom, those years, so this were very BIG signings for us) and just last year he signed Jesus from Benfica, who has just been amazing as manager. Point is, impossible things seem to become possible with Bruno negotiating, so it is somewhat likely. That' the word around here kind of.

PS: For all of you that are stating the amazing atmosphere in Alvalade, I suggest that you search in Youtube for "O Mundo Sabe Que", a song Sporting fans sing at the beggining of games, just like YNWA with Liverpool/Celtic. Watch a video where fans sing it in the stadium. It's goosebump inducing to say the least :)

Legit? No, he's mostly a recycler. I just wanted to stir things up!

lol

But I'm pretty sure Slimani is going to join Leicester. We already signed Bas Dost, Castaignos and André, we also have Alan who might fill the forward position. I think we wouldn't sign two strikers if we weren't close to selling Sli.

What's it say

The Algerian forward Islam Slimani is new the Leicester player. It arrives from Sporting CP for £30 mm

Slimani is almost closed. €30M. It's almost clear as water he's signing for you, as I said before.

Now back to this chapter, these are words Adrien's agent said to a Portuguese newspaper:

"It's not about the money. Sporting doesn't even want to hear about this transfer. Period."

Sky Sports literally just said "one man who will be joining Leicester is Adrien Silva, the player has confirmed that a £21m bid blah blah blah"

That contradicts what is club is saying so I am very confused.

Fair enough but the owners are not stupid and having a unhappy player at your team (your captain) is disruptive. If they can get the right deal, I'm betting he's going to leave

Sky Sports is too late to be funny. That was news yesterday morning.

Why would you want to keep such an unhappy player, particularly, your captain?

You lot seem to think Adrien would be unhappy playing for THE club he loves. lol

He'll be upset for a few weeks maybe, but he'll eventually understand that he took a blow for the team. If he doesn't leave this year, I'm sure there will still be a lot of interest from English teams next season. That's assuming he doesn't move to Leicester. Which I think he will, for the right price.

You haven't seen our manager press conference.
After talking about Slimani he expressely said in a bit grumpy tone:

"Do we have offers for other players? Obviously we do. If the chairman wanted, we could have the possibility of making loads of income these last days of market. But we won't. The players wishes? Well, obviously they'll be upset. After the market closes they might be upset for a few days but they better relax, after al this they'll be fine and back to train as usual. It's up to Sporting to defend our own interests, this is not like some other club shows up and take all our best players away. We have a word on this. Can I guarantee theyre not leaving us? They have clauses, we couldn't do anything thing about that."

Thats why Adrien came up with that interview the day after.

That's just the initial shock. I didn't ask for his captaincy to be removed. I'm against that, actually. The ones that ask for that are the extremist minority who believe players love the club and never leave, and think that a player who says he'd like to play in the Premier League should be crucified. I'm sure everything would return to more amicable terms in a few weeks if he apologized and didn't leave the club.

True we had all this with Vardy on here when they thought he was going to Arsenal . It caused a right stink .
