Ha! No she loves it that her tiny insignificant island has made such a huge impact globally. Everyone has heard of Bob Marley and Bolt. And after a few drinks everyone thinks they can do a Jamaican accent.

Schweinstiger seems a man of his word to be honest, he recently said United will be his last club in Europe so I don't think there's any substance in this.

Easy to say, when you're on £200k a week though!

Think what he could earn in Asia or the Middle East with image rights aswell... That's the next destination he's looking at. Or the MLS but I doubt any clubs will falk out the money he's on.

He might join Sporting on loan, with United paying a chunk of his wages, but that's about it I think.

Anyway, and coming back to the subject of this topic:

Adrien's father has said some pretty bad stuff, and made things even worse. My guess is that either the player leaves the team or he will have a bad time around here. Fans are getting pissed and already demanding that stops being our captain.

Hopefully the owners will see the possible team unrest from all this and how it's already unsettled the fans. Time to make a fair deal and sell him off then.

Hello again lads, Sporting fan back for an update of what's being said here in Portugal:

Just as in England, some sport's media (although not very credible around here, particularly with Sporting) the deal is stalled: if Schweini actually comes here (!!) I think Adrien and Slimani will be yours. Otherwise, I believe neither will be Leicester players, Slimani maybe going to WBA or another club (can't see him staying, we've signed Bas Dost) and Adrien will stay here.

Now I know that Schweini is very, very expensive in wages, but hey, Bruno de Carvalho (president) has like made a suprise signing every year so far: in his first year we signed Leonardo Jardim, a good manager, which we lacked for basically 15 years, next year he signed Nani on loan (keep in mind thta we were bankrupt, at rock bottom, those years, so this were very BIG signings for us) and just last year he signed Jesus from Benfica, who has just been amazing as manager. Point is, impossible things seem to become possible with Bruno negotiating, so it is somewhat likely. That' the word around here kind of.

PS: For all of you that are stating the amazing atmosphere in Alvalade, I suggest that you search in Youtube for "O Mundo Sabe Que", a song Sporting fans sing at the beggining of games, just like YNWA with Liverpool/Celtic. Watch a video where fans sing it in the stadium. It's goosebump inducing to say the least :)

I understand the thinking behind the Adrien deal not being completed if you don't sign Schweinstiger but why would that also mean Slimani wouldn't join us? I don't see how the two are related. I doubt he would go to WBA over us if we both offer the same anyway. I'm confident Slimani will be joining us soon

From what I understand, from what´s has been said here, your president came here to see the Clássico vs Porto and discuss Slimani, but ended discussing Slimani AND Adrien, Sporting not knowing of the interest. From this situation, and knowing our president, I wouldn´t put it past him to simply break negotiations or demand much more money for Slimani. Of course it is not official information but it is what I think likely hapended actually.

That smiley could have signified incredulity at the topsy turvy nature of this potential transfer?

Do the Portuguese realise the difference in LCFC & WBA? In terms of what we can offer?

I don't think Sporting wants to negotiate any player with WBA.
