Argarath Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Tried to check updates on the U21 match yesterday, 400+ comments in arabic and probs 400 more with retard comments like "Why do you play today?" And where is Slimani. I got so tired of this. Does the moderator of that page even give a f****?
Voll Blau Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Probably a blessing. The comments from native English speakers usually make me want to blow my own head off.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 I might hang around to see the reactions of the EDL types when they cotton on to the fact we have strikers called Islam and Ahmed.

Illusion35 Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 I too find this very annoying and don't get why it isn't moderated!
bovril Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 I'll never understand why people get annoyed by Facebook and then continue to use Facebook.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 In their defence, it's gone from under a million mostly British likes to over 6 million people all over the world in under 12 months. Maybe worth increasing the size of the social media department, but I can understand why they'd be overwhelmed at the moment. I certainly don't have a problem with different languages on there, our success last year brought with it worldwide acclaim and you can now find fake Leicester City shirts nestling alongside the Barcelona and Real tops in any self-respecting Turkish market stall. Part of the beast I'm afraid.

I think that's pretty likely - the Arabic speaking fanbase alone is going to become much bigger still once Slimani is officially announced. I'm actually surprised the Thai fan page isn't bigger than it is - it perhaps needs more promotion from the social media peeps.
NewEnglandFox Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 That Algerian gif.... I quit Facebook years ago.
CollinsLCFC Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Doesn't really bother me at all, gaining support from different parts of the world.

There is a way of having a single landing page, which chooses your language-page by location (although you can of course change the default). Most big multinationals do it this way...and LCFC is becoming a big multinational it seems.
Fox92 Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Facebook is full of shite anyway. Stay away from it.

MC Prussian Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 It's going to be even more havoc now with two Algerian internationals on our books!

The only things you can moderate on Facebook are swearing in comments, and it's all automatic. Every new like the club get is worth hundreds in add revenue... To the point where football manager sponsored our pre season posts by having their logo added to every post... It's a goldmine! id say what I'd say to anyone annoyed on Facebook pages I manage, if you don't like it it's not difficult to ignore, if you were looking for U21 updates they would be in the post itself, there's no need to look in the comments.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Algerian fans are shite. No idea how to post a meme in the comments never mind a dank one. It's all just محرز الإسلام
NewEnglandFox Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Scenes in 10 days when Slimani doesn't play....
