Doggy Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 Flew out to Bangkok the same day as the team to join in with all the celebrations of our amazing season, amazing scenes in the streets of Bangkok, spent 11 weeks in Asia, on my return I bought both the red and white away shirts from the LCFC concession store within the duty free area of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok. The shirts are labelled and tagged as 'Leicester City Official Merchandise' and the label in the sewn back of the shirts is the Leicester City FC tag, I was delighted with my purchase at just over £18 each, a bargain I thought, King Power the kings of duty free. once home, I took them out of the LCFC see through wrapping , somethings missing, Where's the Puma logo? I was puzzled so I went down to the fanstore to ask a few questions, they couldn't help, so I emailed [email protected], after umpteen emails back and forth, it turns out that the shirts are not the shirts I thought I was buying. They are an official licensed LCFC product but not an official Puma shirt , they are of the same material, finish and badge as the official Puma shirt, I asked LCFC if they would be willing to exchange them for the 'official shirts' as I don't like wearing 'fake' The club have declined to exchange them, 'the shirts I have are only available in Thailand and no where else in the world' they said, For a club that's made a ton of money in the last 12 months I thought as a gesture of goodwill, they would be willing to exchange, guess I'll have to wear the blue one week in week out. - life long fan and season ticket holder
Samilktray Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 This is what happens when you buy dodgy gear, can't expect the club to exchange shady goods for the real deal Lifelong fan and season ticket holder
Doggy Posted 5 September 2016 Author Posted 5 September 2016 When you buy Leicester City official merchandise from the an official source, King Power, you would expect it to be official , turns out the manufacturers have a licence to use the King Power logo and produce LCFC official merchandise, but not the Puma logo, Just think it's a bit off really when the shirts are clearly labelled as official away 2nd and 3rd kits
jammie82uk Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 Just a few questions: was there any shirts hanging up in the shop? Or were they all in bags? Did you try one on before purchase? 1 final question if the answers to the above is No,Yes,No how did you not notice the puma badge was missing as even by your own admission the bag was see-though
Jamiebux Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 Bet they don't have a Genesis sport tag stiched inside . Bet if we had official puma kits the puma logo would be there . Bit weird really
goose2010 Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 There are plenty of dodgy printers in Leicester that will print / embroid the puma logo on
StanSP Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 i just love the fact you included 'lifelong fan and season ticket holder' as if that adds any weight to your argument that you think the club should bow to your needs
UPinCarolina Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 I think they're pretty cool anyways. Wear with pride and don't feel too bad if Johnny Bollocks at the pub spills a pint of bitter down your back.
Doggy Posted 5 September 2016 Author Posted 5 September 2016 A selection of large and medium hanging on the racks but no small , from the over stock drawers the assistant pulled out 2 sm shirts still packaged and unopened , I did not try them on as I know my size , I did not notice the Puma badge missing as the shirts were folded and tags hanging from them, why would i be suspicious , I'm buying official merchandise here , anyway I've now got 2 beautiful gardening shirts I will wear with pride

ozleicester Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 In my opinion the issue here is, the club and its owners know and support the sale of "fake" shirts, whether the guy noticed or tried on the shirts isnt the issue. It seems that when the club was contacted they knew they werent official and didnt care, all of those people talking about not ripping off the club by buying fakes may want to think about how this stacks up, when they go in to hand over the 50 quid. Get on to Aliexpress et al and fill ya boots
promised land Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 The club shop shirts don't have a label inside anyway, they just have Puma printed onto the material. life long fan, season ticket holder and over 200 points priority. HTH
Beliall Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 I wish they would sell those shirts over here as well . I would get them, look great without the puma, and not really fake. Lifelong fan, no ticket
Webbo Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 You buy a shirt for 18 quid and then expect the club to swap it for a shirt that costs 50?

So you need to return the to the outlet you purchased them from good luck. life long fan no ticket but I have a real shirt.
norwichfox Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 Nobody tried to dupe you, "buyer beware" not really anything you can do about it. Lifelong fan, no ST, holder of authentic. £13.00 fake shirt with embroidered patches and logo....
Beliall Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 I'm more interested in the bag with a picture of a bag on it.
Darkon84 Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 This actually got a from me this morning. Some people, Jesus!
MC Prussian Posted 6 September 2016 Posted 6 September 2016 As if the £18 each didn't make it suspicious in the first place... Besides, you've got plenty of dosh to spend for a trip to Thailand, but not enough for a proper pair of football shirts? Hmm...
