Favourite/Unusual breakfasts

Inspired by Countryfox and his fried fresh offal.

My current favourite is porridge with a tablespoon of peanut butter (proper peanut butter, not sugary shit like Sunpat) and a mashed ripe banana stirred in.

Yours is actually so, so close to mine but they couldn't be any different when presented.

Mine is a lump of peanut butter, a banana and some rolled oats with an egg and a bit of almond milk in the blender then I make 3/4 small pancakes and top with a bit of honey and a handful of berries.

But it's a pain in the arse to make and makes a lot of mess.

My favourite breakfast is smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast. But it's not that unusual really...

Sounds like you have regressed to a baby mate lol.

I used to down a nutribullet with kale, spinach, orange, banana, seeds and nuts in but after getting to a weight I am happy with I cant bring myself to drink what looks and tastes like a grass drink. The best breakfast in the world is either cold pizza or pancakes with maple syrup and bacon.

Actually, it's closer than you think because I usually follow it with scrambled eggs, and blueberries/raspberries in yoghurt.

I'm definitely going to try yours.

Made a quick breakfast with stuff left in the fridge once fried mushrooms and tomatoes with toast and a poached egg. Now one of my favorites.

The problem if I did that it would just be a Gin/Beer combo :(

Cold local farm produce smoked blackforest Speck , ( Thick cured bacon), With local farm/landbread, with

English mustard.

Early morning fresh Freshcream donuts. Found in Chicago, and Mexico.  Strangely not in New york.

Homemade tapas with huevos rancheros, and mexican churiso.

Unusual for me....A good full English Breakfast, served in the small cafes around london/new york/chicago/SAn Francisco

and most places in  Ireland.

Fresh Salmon or smoked haddock with poach egg and lemon, Ireland or Scandinavia.Main New york.

Smoked salmon, scrambled eggs on toast with Tabasco, lump fish roe on blini with ice cold vodka shots. Admittedly a rare occurance

I'd love a full English breakfast but I can't be bothered. Occasionally I'll have one later, or sometimes in the middle of the night when I'm stoned as fvck.

My breakfast tends to be one Weetabix, well ground up, blueberries and fruit and nut mix, a mixture of milk and Greek yoghurt, topped off with honey. It's difficult sometimes to get it from the breakfast-making place to my TV-watching place without spilling milk and yoghurt everywhere, but once I get it there it's OK.

When I used to go back to my Mum's on a Monday morning I would often eat the roast dinner I had been saved, went down well at any time of the day.

Please tell me you warmed it up, Matt.

The previous nights Chinese takeaway leftovers. Had those a few times and tend to taste better in the morning.

I do though think that eggs really set you up for the day, and whenever I have them, I tend to sail through the day. Decent power food (but not as tasty as the Chinese)

Nope, just added some milk obviously.

A proper full English is the ultimate breakfast but I am also partial to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with loads of black pepper.

On holiday I like the cheese and meats with little bread rolls that hotels serve up. I'd never bother, with what is effectively a sandwich, at home but on holiday it is more acceptable.

I do like the US/Canadian Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup... yum!

Have it rarely though. When you wake up at 5 am, you just grab cereal, milk, nom, out the door.

Usually just cereal or toast.

Weekends (I don't know why it's different for weekends, more time maybe?!) - I'll usually have eggs and bacon and toast.

Mentioned it in the old people's food thread, but kippers with poached/fried/scrambled egg with a side of bread and butter. Absolute treat.
