**** knows what you've been watching because last couple of games I've thought Mahrez looks like he's gained a yard or two if anything.

Really? Has he actually took the ball past a full back yet?

If Vardy is slower, I suspect that's as much to do with confidence as fitness. I fear the England experience hasn't done him much good.

Plus he's been running on adrenaline (port, coffee and red bull) and been running around like his life depended on it for a long time now ...     and had the mother of all seasons.  Won the league, nearly won the golden boot (or whatever it is), played for England, nearly changed clubs, had a few run ins with people !!!, flown all over the place, wrote a book, got married, carried an injury, etc etc etc ...  !!   He probably needs a rest !

Enter Musa.

Listening to Henry winter on 5live the other night I'd be happy if none of our players play for England again while things are as they are.

Clyne, lallana, rose, Milner, Henderson, dier etc all doing well though?

The reason he is slower Is because Ranieri wants him to change into a Harry Kane type of striker. He probably does less sprinting drills etc and more training on positioning. Probably because Ranieri wants him to play every game and therefore has to change his game to do this.

It's wrong though. He should continue playing as he used to and rotate him with Musa sometimes. If you watch a video of him against man united last season, and then compare it to vardy today, it's a million miles off.

I thought that. Mahrez looks like he's got quicker and Vardy looks a bit slower. He certainly doesn't get away from defenders as easily as he was last season.

Vardy was clocked as the fastest sprint for last weekends premier games, so I'd imagine that he hasn't slowed one inch.

That's strange as I didn't see him sprint once against Man Utd.

I suspect that CR has been trying to get him to time his runs a bit better and not to just chase after everything which he's done last season. Unfortunately the quality of a lot of the Balls to him has been poor. On the plus side as he learns how to play with Slimani he should get more space as Slimani pulls defenders away.

Those sprints are based on like 0.5 seconds if that.

Vardy is still as quick as last season. Must only be me who thinks he's looking more sharper each game he plays

I'd have agreed with that statement after the Brugges and Burnley games, and it'd go for the whole team, but then we bumped into Man Utd (Who aren't that good may I add).

I think it was a case of Brugges and Burnley making us look good though. Played well against Porto, albeit hung on at the end, i'm not sure what kind of marker Porto are though, we'll see tomorrow and re-assess the situation then.

Sorry but where has that idea come from...??

Wasilewski. He'd nut both of them and stride over the finishing line dragging them behind him, one in each fist.

Hmmmm. Would be more encouraged if Musa challenged Vardy to a goal scoring race.

That's what he should be focusing on. Needs to get off the mark soon...

That's a bit unfair when the chap hasn't been given a chance yet. Judge him when he's had a run in the team for 4 to 6 games. I like Vardy but I don't remember him scoring many when he first got his chance. Much the same as he hasn't scored many this season.

I want to be proved wrong as much as you clearly want him to succeed.

I don't know, perhaps he is just not up to full fitness yet, but there must be a reason as to why Ranieri is using him so sparingly.
