Merging Cultures Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 @Tuna Just think, half of these lot were still in Israel 48 hours ago. What's our excuse for not being arsed? It's not that far!
Guest Cujek Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Well that was totally fvcking average. C+ must do better. Across the board. Bringing ulloa and okazaki on is basically saying ok we give up on trying to score, ulloa is slower than my mum. Vardy don't look right, slim tries hard without much happening. Mahrez is massively off the pace again, Albrighton was hardly in the game. Drinkwater had far to many poor passes, Amartey is very weak for a big guy. Back 4 looked ok at least.
Sampson Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Huth MOTM by a mile. Thought our back 5 played well actually, front 6 (and their 3 replacements) didn't though.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Schmeichel 7 Simpson 6 Morgan 6 Huth 8 Fuchs 6 Mahrez 5 Amartey 5 Drinkwater 6 Albrighton 5 Slimani 6 Vardy 3 subs: Okazaki 6 Gray 5 Ulloa 4
lgfualol Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Schmeichel 7 Drinkwater Slimani 6 Simpson, Morgan, fuchs, Albrighton, Mahrez, Amartey Shinji Gray 4 Vardy Ulloa 2 ranieri 5 for choosing a championship bench
Koke Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Huth MOTM for me. Closely followed by Schmeichel. Huth and Schmeichel - 7 Simpson, Morgan, Fuchs, Drinkwater, Amartey, Slimani, Mahrez - 6 Albrighton - 5 Vardy - 4 Southampton - 7. Decent outfit. Gray was the best of all the subs. Ulloa is just a waste Drinkwater was passing the ball to everyone who wasn't in a blue shirt. Lots of needless hoofing. Vardy, I just don't get what's going with him? Dreadful.
Chico1958 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 We just drew with a team that spanked West Ham Obviously we didn't play well but I've heard worse commentaries than todays 32 points and we're safe
Chico1958 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 If Calsberg picked Leicesters Bench Probably not the best bench in world............at the moment Vardy Albrighton Ulloa Mahrez Amartey Morgan For the Team............................. You fill in the gaps
sl27 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Schmeichel 8 Simpson 6 Morgan 5 Huth 8 Fuchs 5 Mahrez 5 Amartey 5 Drinkwater 7 Albrighton 4 Slimani 6 Vardy 3 Subs: Okazaki 5 Siwy 5 Ulloa 3
kingfox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 7 - Schmeichel, Huth 6 - Simpson, Morgan, Fuchs, Mahrez, Amartey, Drinkwater, Slimani 4 - Albrighton, Vardy
Sionnach gorm Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Clean sheet against Southampton was an achievement. The fact we didn't score was disappointing. Overall not that unhappy.
foxinsox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Kasper 8 Simpson 8 Morgan 7 Huth 7 Fuchs 7 Mahrez 6 Drinkwater 6 Amartey 4 Albrighton 4 Vardy 4 Slimani 6 Simpson my MOTM. Bailed the midfield out of trouble several times. The play was all too predictable, Mahrez cutting in was always marked twice. The ball over the top was not working. Shinji added a lot when he came on, Gray too. Need to mix it up a bit next PL game. Should be pretty much the same starting 11 for the CL, except maybe Musa to get some game time.
jock2612 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 I have to say Southampton were good but in Europe they rested most of the first team and it showed today. Struggled in the second half which shows how the Champions League and seven games in 22 days stretches a small squad like ours. My big worry is Vardy. He was awful today. He could do without the England call. We should start with SO and Slim. May be having such a large contract has affected his motivation.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Hard for a motm. Probably go for Kasper for one great save in particular
Dan Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Mostly 5. Schmeichel & Drinkwater comfortably our best two. Vardy a 4. Mahrez did nothing either. Southampton were actually quite good in my opinion and got a 7, one of the best sides to come here in a while. Referee gets a 3. Diabolical.
Ted Maul Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 I thought Simpson was our best player yesterday, which tells you all you need to know about our overall performance. Vardy the worst by a distance. No idea what was up with him. I've been defending him to people saying 'he's not the same player this season', saying he's just on a bit of patchy form, but yesterday was appalling. He was either injured, shattered or couldn't be arsed. Either way, he shouldn't have been on the field.
adejo92 Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 Schmeichel 6 - Never really tested but clean sheet so can't complain. Simpson 7 - Decent match. Morgan 6 - Not his best but clean sheet. Huth 8 - Solid and commanding at the back. Fuchs 5 - Did nothing. Mahrez 5 - Fighting a loosing battle Amartey 6 - Nothing special. Drinkwater 5 - Started off poorly making some passes that even stevie wonder would be ashamed of. Got into his stride but not a good game. Albrighton 5 - Did nothing. Slimani 6 - Could see effort was being made but was lone striker (see below) Vardy 2 - Did he even play? No effort from somebody that usually gives 110%. Missed chances he would usually bury. Unfortunatly Vardys style of play has been sussed out. Good job he broke his records last season because he wont be breaking any this season. Man mark + play a deeper line = Useless Vardy

Man mark + play a deeper line = Useless Vardy We were playing pointless long direct balls all game. Vardy is not tall, he was never ever going to beat their giant centre backs. Should have scored that one on one when he hesitated but we could have Messi up front and he's not going to score when our plan is to launch the ball in the air at every opportunity.
kingcarr21 Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 Im surprised at the high scores for Huth. He hesitated a few times yesterday which led to our defense flapping. Schmeichel motm for me
okie fox Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 Schmeichel & Simpson 7, Mahrez, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Vardy, Ulloa, ref 5, rest 6. We were lucky to get a point. Southampton 7, passing game very good, but no end product. We need to go 4-5-1 with another CM when we lose the midfield.
