Preki is Alive

Praise Jesus, Preki lives.  If he hasn't got a beard like Sadam Hussain and looks like he's been eating gravel for the last 18 months I will be very disappointed.

From what the guy's said on Twitter, it was never us. It related to our old mate Milan Mandaric who was going to buy an English club - apparently Villa - and give his countryman & mate Preki the job. Deal fell through and Preki became more unemployable than half of Coalville.

He really was coming here wasn't he? It must have changed last minute with Claudio but it can be the only explanation for why it just went silent after that statement!

He was never coming here. No conversations ever took place between him and the club. As Lestoh says, he was supposed to be getting the Villa job before Mandaric's takeover attempt fell through.

I don't think Preki has been acting gravel for the last 18 months, but I know a man who has...

Is anyone else gutted reading this? I thought we had a great, barely believable saga, and in the end we just missed out on what would have been possibly the funniest thing in football. Tim Sherwood was good, but Milan and preki in charge of villa?
