fazzyfox Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 There was a guy called Madley who refereed so badly they took his whistle and his cards and stuck the whole lot up his arse

If there are assessors in the stands then how the hell does he keep getting these games. Looked at his Twitter tweets once, researching what kind of guy he is, arrogant, piss-taking of small clubs (example "I'm reffing at (lower league club) tonight wherever that is") and just full of himself. Yep that sums up every "top flight" official I've ever met.

Once, he pirouetted and fell into King, who just standing there. A woeful referring performance. That one was the absolute worst. It really seemed that he was itching to screw us over at that point.
fazzyfox Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 To be fair to the guy he did let us kick off one of the two halves representing a 50/50 balance with Spurs.
jock2612 Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 This idiot is just not up to referring in the prem league BUT because of the FA no one can criticise. Respect is not a given it is earned. I think that ref should attend post match press conferences and justify their stupidity.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 ****ing hate Madley. Looks like a real arrogant bastard. Everyone knows him and Moss are by far the worst refs going Seen the pen..... Soft. First half especially we didn't get any fifty fifty decisions
mad biker Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 4 hours ago, Max Power said: He was bad for both sides tbf. Just a poor ref. Not seen the game then Max ? he was Spurs`s 12th man today gave them everything including a goal !!
Dan Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 Indicative of the laughably low standard of officiating that there is nowadays. Nothing will change. They don't see a problem with it.
Spiritwalker Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Just watched MOTD highlights. 2 of the most ridiculous/ bias decisions I've seen for some time, the penalty and the Ali- King free kick. So wrong. Also Deli Ali, is there a more petulant or cheating player in the Prem right now?
Guest Manini Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Have this conversation with my old man all the time. They come off, and get Howard Webb and Mike Riley or whoever else assesses them telling them they were fantastic because all their concerned about is blowing smoke up each other's arses. It's all a big boys club and they look after their own because they refuse to be told or tell each other they're shit. the sooner you get an independent panel of people who weren't referees who were Shit when they did the job anyway to asses them, the better. They need to be dealt with honestly and they need honest feedback when they've had a shocker. How can you expect somebody to improve if you don't tell them where they're going wrong?
st albans fox Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Biased? Not deliberately. ( booked rose, didn't book Wes, gave us a few iffy free kicks ) incompetent? looks that way and has done for a few years. he should be improving but he isn't
foxfanazer Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Just watching MOTD. That decision he made where Alli fell into King and got the free kick
Callabinho Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 He is very poor. He just makes decisions based on the players/fans reactions. Saunters around the pitch like he is the man...but in reality he is actually a bit shit.
Vacamion Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Just waching MOTD again, and there was another terrible decision on about 42 minutes when Alli was tackled by Drinkwater and threw himself to the ground, half way into our half. Someone should do a montage.... I still maintain he's crap not bent, though.

Moss has recently been told to ref a League One match (Bradford vs Sheffield United, a game that finished 3-3) and this could be the sign of things to come. Maybe, just maybe the FA is starting to realize the level of incompetence with regards to refereeing.
dedlock Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 MOTD highlights show what a poor referee he is. The penalty award looked soft at the time. Shearer and Murphy's opinion was not a penalty. There was barely,if any, contact. It was a dive. Alli's foul on King in the second half was an awful decision. Alli treads on King's foot and Alli wins the free kick. Madley needs to go back to Referees school or to Specsavers.
I am an Ostrich Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 The FA assessor must have been on holiday for 6 months, as he? Or is he an Ostrich does he bury his head in the sand, are you an Ostrich mister FA?

He'll either have been shoved down there for one game because of one bad performance, or they were short a ref for a round of games. They're only officially demoted when they're taken off the Select Referee list.
Corky Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 If that free-kick for the Alli foul on King had gone in I would've hoped Ranieri changed his style on not commenting on referees after games because that was a dreadful decision.
fazzyfox Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 The Alli one with King was really embarassing to watch, even if he claims obstruction how the hell could Kingy expect Alli was about to re-enact a scene from swan lake? He was constantly looking to draw fouls but that one was taking the piss. One of the numerous missed offences by Spurs was Walker on Musa as he scored. Okay we're happy with the goal but that has to be a yellow, following in behind and getting none of the ball just taking out the player. A booking would affect the way Walker continued to play so give us the justice of the correct decision. Don't know if a linesman contributed to the penalty decision, Madley did not have a great view but between you you've got to be sure of an offence and I can't see enough there for either of them to base a decision on. Add to that the fact they both missed the initial foul on Huth and it's a joke of a decision.
