Spurs Away Post Match thread 1 - 1

Love the Spuds moaning about fouling and being dirty. Coming from one of the most snide teams in the league who had more fouls and 27 (yeah 27) more yellow cards then we did last year.

Having sat back and calmed down a bit I've decided I really hope Alli does his cruciate. Complete ****.

His antics were dispicable, diving constantly and in his 'chum' Madley's ear throughout. Definitely needs some 'Wasyl' treatment

Might be reactionary to yesterday but coupled with recent performances this is why I just don't care about the national team anymore - I grew up watching good honest pros like Adams, seaman, shearer (I know how most feel about him) but compared to players like Ali it's worlds apart. I just struggle to get behind players who behave like he did yesterday - that one on the edge of the box was unbelievable. Motson spotted it during his commentary. I know players do down more easily these but equally is football now a non contact sport

Yeah, but 20 of those came in the Chelsea game, to be fair lol

Last season I had the pleasure of watching the team I'd supported all my life win the PL.  And they did it with skill, effort and great teamwork.  I was proud of them and proud to come from Leicester.

But if they'd won the PL by throwing themselves to the ground any time they got near an opponent, trying to buy penalties at every opportunity and generally cheating their way to results I'd have been ashamed.  I suspect that there are quite a few Spurs fans out there that have not been posting on their forums that also hate cheating.  So yesterday's match was, for me, a disgrace in the way some Spurs players tried to buy the result.   For that reason I hope they don't prosper this season - I've no animosity to their club but I hate cheats.

Spurs were embarrassing yesterday, dropping to the ground at every opportunity.

Just as embarrassing are some of their fans who seem to think Spurs are some great footballing trophy winning side, when the reality is they're not even the best team in London, or even the second best, their delusions of grandeur are laughable.

A point away at the home of last seasons runners up is a great result....

Oh hold on, I forgot the diving cheats fooked it up.... :chant:

I agree to a point.  When mahrez had the ball they were told clearly to double team him.  Pochettino was clearly and justifiably worried of mahrez.  Anyway that pressure on him freed up others on our team.  I think he played his role in the win. (Yes I said win...I'm disallowing the fake penalty!)

Excellent response!

Scored goals for fun at his previous club but yes, looks bang average at this level.

Drinky is better than Alli... At least he doesn't play for the perennial bottlers

Drinkwater is a better passer and more tactically aware but Alli is more of a goal threat. They don't even play in the same position technically speaking.

Alli is and has always been a ****. I'm glad people are finally waking up to this. Horrible bastard.

That's your opinion but I was at the game too, and honestly, I thought our players were diving. It was unreal, they're getting desperate. The penalty was a dive; I thought we were lucky to get a point. The ref stopped the game unnecessarily so many times and was poor. We got the rub of the green today, Leicester didn't. You only have to look at the Chelsea game last season to see how our Spurs react when it isn't going or way. Leicester held their composure better than Spur can. It's a shame you didn't properly watch Leicester last season, because they were a joy to watch, and fully deserved the title. Any real football fan can see that.

Quite a good summary I thought or was it one of us ?

Spurs fans seem to think we are spent and that they will kick on from last season. Whilst the league table adds weight to this, looking at the next three fixtures for the two sides, we might be a bit closer than they think.

They are toothless up front and will do well to get three points in the next three, whereas I'll be disappointed if we can't get at least 6 in the next three. We are improving and have a real chance to put some points on the board in the next two months.

Good point from very difficult game, Tottenham first half looked quite strong and dominant however saying most of that they weren't half helped out by the ref. One of there players go down its a free kick every time!, the penalty don't get me started on, he was looking to give that for ages. Second half we came a lot stronger and I thought a lot confident, great team work from both Vardy and Musa, set up a fantastic goal. I felt after dominant first half from Tottenham they kinda of ran out of steam in the second half and once again the ref was there everytime to help them out. Draw was fair result in all, they had few decent chances and so did we. Tight game with two teams that are no different to each other. Expect more things from the foxes in weeks to come, some easy games to follow. Just to mention felt Fuchs had a great game, think he had most of the ball than everyone else, along with Drinkwater think he's had a great start to the season.

Could you edit this so I can understand what exactly you're stating. Just for the sake of old, confused blokes like myself. Thanks in anticipation.

You never played top trumps?

Basically you get  pack of cards on a subject, lets say cars. Each card has a different car and different stats. The game is to pick a stat lay it down and then the next person sees if they can beat it.

So, what I meant is that our title win is basically the best football top trump you can have. It's unbeatable, no matter what other fans say they know it. So for this season at least we're untouchable when it comes to oppo fans and their chants.

This was a very good point for us. Not because Spurs are anything special but because, players who seemed out of form and confidence seem to find their feet yesterday.

The next five games in the league are all what you would call "winnable" and stopping the collapses away from home could set us up nicely for the November run in.

Still young. I didnt think he was too bad considering the Spurs players constantly went sideways. He is definitely not going to challenge Kane though.

Next 13 games for us are pretty favourable, only three of the big boys to play and they are all at home as well.

Mental instability is the only conclusion I can come to for you after reading that comment!

This is your response to a post that questions Jeff Schluup's footballing abilities?

You are the mental one. Either that or you listen to our games on the radio?

Yeah it just proves what a tough start we were handed. We did ourselves no favours at hull though.

A really good point and performance.

We are the first to score against Spurs from open play and that goal was only the 5th Spurs have conceded all season.

We were a threat to a strong defence throughout the game but particularly 2nd half.

It was pleasing that our defensive solidity was back.Had it not been for an incompetent referee we should have had a clean sheet

Their despicable "performance" at Chelsea last year really should have received a points sanction.

As for The Fighting Cock more like Flaccid Cocks.

Or Farting Cocks. I have not been on the site but from posts on here it sounds a lot of malodorous hot air.
