Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 December 2016 Posted 21 December 2016 We were linked in the summer but we've been dismal whilst he's been decent, he'll go to a club challenging near the top of any division
Guest the fox Posted 21 December 2016 Posted 21 December 2016 Too hard. It is not like we can say "come to us instead of a big team, because we will give you a lot of playing time as a young player. Just look at....ahhmmmmm...BARN-..NO!.we mean... KAPU-- NO!!..ahhhmmmm... YES!!! Gray is getting the odd 10 minutes here and there" our only leverage against big team is nearly nonexistent.
HankMarvin Posted 21 December 2016 Posted 21 December 2016 same story as yesterday they have just made it about bailey this time

We can say that just to get the deal over the line, he won't know about the others.
sylofox Posted 21 December 2016 Posted 21 December 2016 The way Genk are talking we have no deal done for Ndidi. Watch us chase all month and get no one.

Mike Oxlong Posted 22 December 2016 Posted 22 December 2016 Didn't he win the X Factor a few years back ?
Babylon Posted 22 December 2016 Posted 22 December 2016 When I watched their full matches to check on Ndidi (who was crap in those games), this lad looked quality and their best player by a mile.

Yep, I think its because we kinda know we'll lose in the next 3 years just about every player in our starting eleven due to age, pace, talent or moving on for a final pay day...... I love the fact we want to build for the future - it'd be incredible to build a young prem side with an average age of 24 in a few years.

I must confess I love a transfer policy of buying the best teenagers in world football from clubs who aren't as wealthy as us, we can't buy world class players but we can buy future world class players. I said to my mate I'd rather us spend £15m on Ndidi or Bailey and take a chance rather than someone like Joe Allen who is a good PL player but you know he'll never hit the heights. If we get Bailey then I hope we have a plan and don't just buy him because he might be good. These players have to play and not end up like Gray who has come here and done well when hes had a chance but Ranieri appears that he won't drop Mahrez (nor should he) and he won't play a formation that puts Gray and Mahrez in the same team. By all means sign Bailey but don't have Albrighton keep him out of the team and you have to wonder what Gray makes of that potential signing as well.
davieG Posted 22 December 2016 Posted 22 December 2016 You can't guarantee anyone a starting place and I'm sure if we were performing better then the subs would get more game time. Players have to recognise it's a squad game and be patient, players like this coming to the PL are no more likely to be definite starters at any of the other clubs.

Sure you will find out from his Twitter if we sign someone else to paly in his position

Bailly is left footed and play RW cutting in onto his left foot. He would play in Mahrez'S position.
Rigga Posted 22 December 2016 Posted 22 December 2016 I would take Joe Allen every day of the week with what he has done at Stoke... You do not always get time to develop these players, blink and before you know it you are back down in the championship
StriderHiryu Posted 22 December 2016 Posted 22 December 2016 This kid is clearly someone to watch but given we have Mahrez and Gray who can both that side it would seem like an unnecessary signing to me. If we sign these exciting young prospects then we need to be giving them game time. No wonder Gray and Kaputska are getting the hump! I feel we should concentrate on sorting out the areas of the team where we are struggling (CM and CB).
HoustonFox Posted 22 December 2016 Posted 22 December 2016 If he's good enough to start every week he'll get in the team. Kapi is not and Gray is close, and I'm sure it will be bench then start. Could be lining up as Jeff replacement or long term Riyad. Can we just be happy we are finding top talent and going after it? I trust the coaching staff to assess once they signed as to whether they are good enough to get into the team
Rigga Posted 22 December 2016 Posted 22 December 2016 Lets buy someone that walks straight into the team...Not Zieler, Hernandez, Musa, Slimani and Mendy who have not been that. Fed up of squad players
