There's a lot of hard work to do before the season can be classed as "a nothing write off". If we carry on the way we're playing it won't be long before we drop into the bottom 3

Swansea scored all three of their shots and Liverpool had about 40 but only managed to score twice. These things happen in the Prem.

one F in Fox Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 It's all very well signing him for cover, he'll probably get one appearance then not play again when he's deemed not to be up to it. Not much point really. I think getting him in on loan is almost preparing for relegation.

My issue is that every single player has gone to shit. Now, do we believe they suddenly all turned crap after a year and a half of title winning form. Or do we think there is something wrong elsewhere. My bet is the latter, so I don't think swapping one player for another will make much difference. If they are still not motivated or still set up badly, the same issues will appear. You end up like a Sunderland, constantly buying player after player and it making no difference. The club need to get to the bottom of what the issue is. I fear the spirit has been ruined with disparity in wages and contracts, too many fringe players not happy, players unmotivated by a manager they aren't sure about, lots of new foreign signings who didn't know the leagues or life in this country. As it stands we remind me of us under Taylor, with all the previous good work unravelling in front of our eyes.

Also lost curtis Davies for 8 weeks but Ranocchia is a great signing. I think they are the only certainty to be honest. Sunderland, palace and Swansea all have the potential to kick on, at our expense.

woznotwos Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Our record when Slimani plays is a lot better though , lets hope he's fit !!

TMELcfc Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Hull have a good coach, just because people in England have not heard of him until now doesn't make him s***. I still don't think they'll stay up, but they'd get another 3 points of us right now just like Burnley will tomorrow. God how did it all go so wrong so quickly

The Mali defence was pretty sound - only let 2 goals in, in the 3 games - including a 0-0 against the star team, Egypt (finishing third in their group). Their problem was, they couldn't score - not his fault. How many players on those teams are prem quality and how many prem teams would fancy themselves against Mali or Egypt on any given day? I think most of them would. I think his inability to get into Udinese is much more telling about his quality than a clean sheet against Egypt.
