I'll bet everything I own and ever will own that Hull will not stay up at our expense. They're not good enough and we're not bad enough. Wish everyone would stop this contest about who can fret the most. It's doing my head in. Get a grip.

Now, do we believe they suddenly all turned crap after a year and a half of title winning form. Or do we think there is something wrong elsewhere. My bet is the latter, so I don't think swapping one player for another will make much difference. If they are still not motivated or still set up badly, the same issues will appear. You end up like a Sunderland, constantly buying player after player and it making no difference. The club need to get to the bottom of what the issue is. I fear the spirit has been ruined with disparity in wages and contracts, too many fringe players not happy, players unmotivated by a manager they aren't sure about, lots of new foreign signings who didn't know the leagues or life in this country. As it stands we remind me of us under Taylor, with all the previous good work unravelling in front of our eyes. Most sensible thing I've read outside of gen chat for weeks. What might originally have been down to a poor pre-season and some weird hangover/complacency/lack of real strategy for progression has gradually gotten worse to the point where we are somehow relegation candidates. They lost confidence in themselves and each other after a slow start and as Ranieri has tinkered more and more in an effort to turn our fortunes, it has become clear that he doesn't know how to stop the rot. The latest signings haven't really settled because they've been brought into a steadily declining team and we now can't sign anyone decent because we're looking over our shoulders horrified at the possibility of relegation. Our most realistic hope of staying up is that 3 of the clubs below us continue to be even worse than we are. What a sorry state.

If that's doing your head in I think I'ts you that needs to get a grip.
adejo92 Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Its like at school when you pick your teams and all the good players have gone so you get left with that one lone fcuktard who's blind in one eye and has two left feet. ....Welcome Wague.

As it stands we remind me of us under Taylor, with all the previous good work unravelling in front of our eyes. This is one of the best posts I read in weeks and pretty much sums up my feelings and the way I'm coming around to looking at our current situation. The last paragraph that I've put in bold however is something I mentioned weeks ago to a group of friends and they though I'd lost the plot. In summary, it takes years to build the culture than Leicester had last season, to achieve the impossible. Every sports team and even business in the world strive to get this right. These are the things that can come undone in weeks. It could be something as simple as a player liaison officer leaving the club. This then escalates like a domino effect and before you know it, you've got a full blown crisis on your hands. Surprisingly, money isnt the number one factor on why the majority of people want to leave a business, people leave because they feel undervalued, the boss, a culture etc This in itself tells you all you need to know about a shift in the physiology at Leicester. Something has changed and this needs sorting before we start spending a wedge on new recruits. That is just papering over the cracks.

Í totally agree with you there, something about the whole shambles feels the same as when we was managed under him, started well then all went to well, you know the rest.
Nick Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 I'm not sure anybody knows what this player is going to be like - the bandwagon of misery and embarrassment for a player who's going to provide 6 months of cover is a bit weird.
st albans fox Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 The last time we took a centre back on loan in January who couldn't get into their first team was a distaster aswell ........
brookfox Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Not like he needs the money, his Mum runs the popular food chain Wague-mamas.

Webbo Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 The people who were demanding we sign a CB are now moaning about signing a CB despite not having a clue what he's like. So depressingly predictable.
Guest Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Well at least we had some business, he might turn out to be amazing
kingfox Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Somebody divert him to Nottingham. 12 minutes ago, Webbo said: The people who were demanding we sign a CB are now moaning about signing a CB despite not having a clue what he's like. So depressingly predictable. Well we weren't expecting a guy who is basically fourth choice at Udinese, supposedly on loan from Granada who happen to be bottom of La Liga. Not surprised it doesn't spring fans with confidence, I bet most Championship clubs wouldn't even take him on.
lgfualol Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 I hope he does well here, but expecting him to play more games for the u23s than the first team, while we continue shipping 3 goals a match.
Babylon Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 If it makes anyone feel better we definitely monitored this bloke under Walsh... doesn't mean he'd have decided to make a move for him obviously.

He will have been picked on the same statistical analysis as all our other signings have been. Why not wait and see?
desertfox2 Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Medical today according to the merc. Season long loan. Underwhelmed but let's give him a chance.
lcfcrinaldi Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 So Hull get Rannocchia and we get this guy? This window has almost put the nail in our coffin. To be honest, I don't think we really will go down, but only by the skin of our teeth, if performances stay as they are. There's going to have to be some serious deadline day magic today for me to be optimistic about the rest of the season.
