Loan deal right? at least its not a 12 million punt, yet...

Debut against Man U, nice. This kid will be dreaming half the game.

Good luck to him.

Like every player, they'll get a chance from me... but we have to be brutally honest here and say on the face of it, he's highly unlikely to be amazing if he parent and loan clubs don't play him.

Here are a few stat comparisons against others before they joined us and morgan, and to be fair to the lad he doesn't stack up too badly at all... although it looks like he's had a nightmare with defensive errors this season.

I'm assuming we spotted him playing for Caen as a youngster? He got nothing but praise as a young player there. To put a positive spin on things he appears to have been a casualty of the Pozzo empire.... perhaps he'll take this oportunity and run with it, we can only hope!

At least we're not splashing  £12m on this guy.  The logic behind this is probably thst he will provide competition for the 2 current CBs and then the club will properly address the defensive issues in the summer rather than mid season.

I'm giving the club the benefit of doubt here.

The most annoying thing about this window is we've made £12.5 million on Schlupp and the money earnt for getting through the group stages of the Champions League means we could pay £20 million for a defender and it's not hurt us. The deteoration of Morgan and Huth this season has been quite alarming and Simpson is just as bad, Fuchs closely behind. We badly need our defence rectifying and waiting until the summer is a massive gamble.

The tackle stats are down all over the team massively.

Yeah I took a look before and it is mental. We pretty much invite teams to score now.

The lack of a proper no. 10 is as much of a concern since the only formation we apparently can play requires one. No one seems that bothered though.

Defensive errors looks a bit concerning.

Well he's actually never been at Granada - as soon as they bought him from Caen (in the summer of 2014), they loaned him out to Udinese.

I take this as a back up/challenger to Simpson!  Loan move seems a smart move..., his stats etc seem very average, for me I have low expectations in this guy, hopefully he will push Simpson back to his defensive best
