Molla Wague

While naturally a centre-back, Wague can cover at right-back. He has made six appearances for Udinese this season and five for Mali, but is yet to taste victory this campaign.

anyone else find that statement in the merc a bit worrying.

Pretty much brought in to be competition for Simpson then I guess. Wes and Huth can stay relaxed.

He looks strong, quick and comfortable with the ball at his feet. That's what people have been crying out for!

Obviously it's only a you tube video, but I'll judge him after he's played some games for us.

At least we've signed a defender!

Like the look of him, good signing. Red card waiting to happen in the prem though judging some of those tackles

Seems a few other teams were interested  Watford, Sunderland, West Ham United. If so he could very well not be this unknown awful player

That gives me a bit more confidence. They are the masters at unearthing good talent  (and selling them on to liverpool)

Every player we signed we "beat off stiff competition"... they said the same about Sergio Hellings.

Shambles, an absolute clucking shambles.

Heads must roll. If the owners don't act, then they can do one too.

Worst champions you'll ever see.

Maybe you need to support Chelsea

This is actually a great point... even Chelsea are making weird signings on Deadline day.... it's what happens... Craig Gordon and Jonathan Biabiany wouldn't be on their radar normally.

True, but they're in a position to be able to add squad fillers. We NEED to add first team players.

Like someone proved yesterday, you can make Danny Simpson look like a world beater with a well edited video lol

For me, it comes down to the fact he is midway through his career at 25, and he is not starting for his current team and was actually loaned out by the team that owns him.

That is one of the best judges, as it shows that he is either highly rated by his current club(s), who see him everyday in training and playing matches etc, or he isn't.

Of course, often there are reasons why he isn't being selected, other than his overall quality, but with Granada loaning him out and him not starting regularly for Udinese, it would suggest that he is not that highly rated by either club and at 25, there is not that much more improvement he can make, compared to if he was 20/21 etc.

I'm hopeful though and will definitely give him some time to prove himself here. He certainly looks athletic, which is something we lack at the back. I will assume he has come in as a replacement for Hernandez though and not to start ahead of Wes, Huth or Simpson, which I think was needed. We needed to sign a starting CB or RB, not one for cover.

Hopefully another CB to come though. Sakho please.

If they follow the Wague signing with the announcement of a lucrative new shirt sponsorship with Topps Tiles then I'm gone.
