Leamington Fox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 OK. Whilst I am an optimist by nature, I make the following predictions for the remainder of the season: 1. We will not get relegated. 2. We will finish 14th. 3. Slimani will score another 8. 4. We will get knocked out in the FA quarter finals. 5. Sevilla will win both matches narrowly and send us out of the Ch.L. 6. CR will not get sacked but will get another season. 7. Schmeichel captain by the start of next season. 8. Amartey will become established as CD. 9. Chilwell will be first choice left back by the start of next season. 10. Ndidi will be one of the first names on the team sheet, if fit. Let's see how I get on with this in September.

Benguin Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I'm struggling at the moment because I know we have the quality to stay up comfortably but there is something really wrong atm. Taking into account what's happened so far this season I'd have to back us to be 17th/18th. I really didn't think there was a possibility of us going down until this week but now I'm struggling to see us staying up. I can't see us getting anything at United and Swansea are picking up form and likely to beat us and within 10 days it's highly likely we'll be in the bottom 3. On the other hand I think us being in the bottom 3 will give the players a final kick up the arse and we may see some desire, as soon as desire comes back we have enough quality to stay up. Essentially unless the players pull their fingers out their arse we'll go down. If I was Ranieri i'd make some bold decisions including removing Drinkwater, Morgan, Fuchs and Vardy from the starting line up.

I dont think we will finish as high up as 14. If we stay up it will be by the skin of our teeth. For me, Ranieri needs to go. I don't trust him to rebuild and I don't want him too. can we get to the final of the fa cup though. That would cheer me right up.

We will finish 14th. 19th - down with Sunderland and Dull 3. Slimani will score another 8. 3/4 4. We will get knocked out in the FA quarter finals. Possibly, though we have to beat Direby and then Millwall 5. Sevilla will win both matches narrowly and send us out of the Ch.L. They will win both easily 6. CR will not get sacked but will get another season. This might even be true 7. Schmeichel captain by the start of next season. Good - if he's still here 8. Amartey will become established as CD. Yes 9. Chilwell will be first choice left back by the start of next season. Yes 10. Ndidi will be one of the first names on the team sheet, if fit. yes Let's see how I get on with this in September.
Brooksy Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 We won't win another league game this season and finish bottom. Vardy won't score for us again. Ranieri will be in charge regardless of our league position at the end of the season. We'll win the FA cup Sevilla will score double figures against us over both legs. Molla Wague will never play for Leicester.
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Ignoring the away fixtures, we need 6 wins out of 8 from the remaining home games to be safe. The next two of those are against Man Utd and Liverpool so it's possible that we won't win a home game again until March. That then means we need to win them all, which includes a game against Spurs. Away days include trips to London clubs Arsenal, West Ham and Palace, and Man City. Bottom line is we're in deep trouble. If we fail to beat Swansea, we're done because the rest of February could well turn out to be horrendous, including a possible, and likely, embarassment against Sevilla.
Sir Shep Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I've just been looking at the fixtures and if we can get our act together, our final run could be our saving grace like it was 2 years ago. I'm trying to be optimistic!
Leamington Fox Posted 1 February 2017 Author Posted 1 February 2017 We've got to get behind the lads. I am sure that most of us on here already do, but the atmosphere is down from about 9.5/10 last season to 6.5/10 this season. Obviously this partly reflects poor results and performances, but I think the lads really need us to rock them. I hope Birchy can get back out there, not least for his own health, but also for our survival. It sounds silly, but seeing him out there could really turn things around. I've got a funny feeling about Man U at home. They're not invincible by any means. Is Slimani due to return from injury?
murphy Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I've been supporting Leicester long enough to know what a relegation certainty looks like and that is what we are right now. Somehow we need to address the toxic malaise hanging over the club but I fear it can only be done by positive results - vicious circle. This malaise that has appeared is how bigger clubs like Newcastle, Leeds, Villa etc get relegated. Once it is there it is very difficult to shift. At the moment we have serious negative momentum.

We will get knocked out in the FA quarter finals. Yes 5. Sevilla will win stroll both matches narrowly and send us out of the Ch.L. 6. CR will not get sacked but will get another season. Gone in the summer. 7. Schmeichel captain by the start of next season. Gone in the summer (Liverpool) 8. Amartey will become established as CD. Not in this life. 9. Chilwell will be first choice left back by the start of next season.Yes, if not gone. 10. Ndidi will be one of the first names on the team sheet, if fit. He already is. Let's see how I get on with this in September.
AmarteyAndChill Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Sunderland,Hull,Stoke,Bournemouth,Watfordall at home. I'd hope for 15points there. cant see us getting any points away.
Tuna Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Claudio doesn't get sacked and we go down with about 28 points.

sk3since03 Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 I'd glady take relegation if it meant an FA cup win
Number 6 Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 If we survive, and it's a big if, then I think Ranieri would need to be changed in the summer unless our form completely changes. Possibly some others need to go too. Complete restructure.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 Never a dull moment being a Leicester fan, always exciting, always a drama. Claudio will be sacked after the Swansea game. FA cup QF and lose Humiliated by Sevilla Avoid relegation on the last day of the season.
foxy boxing Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 I predict there will be a lot of people predicting what will happen to City from now until the end of the season and some of those predictions will be right and some of those predictions will be wrong

STUHILL Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 I think Sunderland and Hull will go down. I know Hull have had a mini-resurgence, but I don't think it will last. They just don't have enough quality or a big enough squad to cope in the long-term. I think Palace will do enough to survive due to Sam's horrible negative football and grinding out draws and nicking 1-0s. I also think Swansea will have a bit too much quality and should be ok. I then think it is between us and Boro who finishes 18th and is relegated. I think we are better on paper, but we are so below the standards we set last season, we may have to rely on Boro simply being worse than us. If we can just manage to get the players back fighting again, and closing down, as well as keeping Slimani fit. Then I think we should just be ok and finish 17th with a game or two to spare. We should be under no illusions though, if we do survive, it is going to be extremely close judging by our remaining fixtures and also the ZERO signs of any improvement recently.
lcfcben76 Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 Can see almost all of those happening and are realistic shouts apart from possibly 7 and 8 imo

Sevilla will win both matches narrowly and send us out of the Ch.L. We will get slaughtered in at-least one of the legs. 6. CR will not get sacked but will get another season. Unfortunately Agree 7. Schmeichel captain by the start of next season. If we survive, yes, Relegated? Cya later 8. Amartey will become established as CD. Doubtful 9.
