richieboy Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 I think Gary Neville has just hit the nail on the head, when he said that Morgan, Huth and Fuchs defended dreadfully, which I feel was starting to happen at the end of last season and has continued this season. Look how many times they have been caught out and conceded goals. It was obvious that they needed to replace the back 4, but failed to do so.
EGBFitness Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Been pretty accurate with all his comments tbf to him
Koke Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Both Neville and Carragher absolutely spot on. They're stating what we already know but some of these players need to be roasted on Sky.
KwongFong Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Simpson is alright for me this match, his performance is so unsteady though. Chilwell instead of Fuchs for no doubt. Amartey, Benny and Wague? I am afraid we may be yelling for some more defenders in the summer transfer window after they spend some time as CB playing for us.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Whole defence is a joke. Was very good last season.... Seeing so many games out one nil is not easy Absolute opposite now. Huth and Morgan look like donkeys. Both look they aged five years each. Both as bad as each other. Fuchs had a shite Euros for Austria and has continued into this season. Looks a shadow of last season. Simpson looks same as last year but appears worse due to rest of defence looking shite. Can't score and because defence is so shite it's killing us early in games.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 I also like what Quinn suggested. The chairman should just come out and say "he is our man, no way he is getting sacked regardless. Everyone has to play their best as we are keeping no matter what" That way players know they have to play. Downing tools and being lackluster isn't going to achieve what they want.
Mythyaar Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Each one is capable of a catastrophic error or lapse in concentration at any time during 90 minutes that could cost us the game (as is Simpson). Schmeichel is terribly exposed. Carragher was also right to say "they're not that good".
HankMarvin Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Even if we had th best defence in the world we still wouldn't score playing how we arw

Kante obviously offered a lot of protection but we also pressed and defended so high last season we didn't allow opposition many opportunities. Opposition have around 60% of possession, spend 3/4 of a game within our half and have atleast 15 attempts at goal - yes the defence is poor but when you allow the opposition to dominate a game this much you are going to expose weaknesses/concede goals.

Loyalty was probably a too optimistic in retrospect but , seriously, replace the whole back four that just won the Premiership. Not sure you're thinking straight.
sm1 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Him and Carr have hit the nail on the head, we need to be nasty. We just don't tackle, we shadow players but nobody sticked their boot in. Every goal, ManU players ran with the ball without any of our players trying to stop them. This applies equally to every player, we need to stop players before they get to our penalty area. Forget systems, players, they all have to tackle and make the midfield a battle zone.
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 When you're Fuchs and you're a Premiership winner and have given up international duties, what's left to achieve? Should have been shipped out far sooner and a three year contract extension is not the answer.

STUHILL Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 All the pundits had it spot on actually. Players should forget about some kind of mutany and just get on with their individual jobs. Carragher had it spot on when he said, these players aren't actually that good. Last season was a freak. So they need to work their socks off just to stay up and at the moment we aren't doing that. Compact 4-4-2, work bollocks off by constantly pressing and getting in the opposition's face, and look to break quickly and take our chances.

SpinneyHillRanger Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 It's the players getting too big for their boots. Not Ranieri. Players rewarded with big contracts and now think they're too good to chase and be tough to beat. Some of them thinking they can get a mutiny going to oust their manager. Morgan and huth look shot to shitt Drinkwater is having bad game after bad game. Ever since that mistake that cost us the game vs Stoke, he has been terrible. Okazaki useless. Musa lacks confidence. Mahrez anonymous. Carra, Quinn and Neville got it right today regarding our attitude and our situation. Ranieri deserves a statue outside and these players should be shamed for trying to get him out with their shitty attempts at 'performing'
ChownLC Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Agree with gary saying vardy should be horrible to play against again, we're so lightweight upfront.

Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Chilwell will get a run out v Derby but watch Fuchs get his place back for Swansea. Fuchs has been poor all season, but was dire today. Maybe the defence have got some dirt on Claudio/Rudkin and they're not allowed to change them! Joking obviously- needed to point this out cus this place is a little touchie right now!

Spot on... sick of people highlighting the defence when they are getting exposed to constant pressure. Yet the absolute toss in front of them get glossed over most of the time. Every single player from front to back isn't performing. When was the last time we scored a bloody goal for gods sake.
Chico1958 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Bring the Kids in, get Lawrence back from Ipswich We may go down but they'll fight to keep their places Ndidi looks fine, Mendy's OK, Amartey played AFCon as CB, Chilwell looks hungry,Kapuska plays for his Country for gods sake as does Lawrence, who's been scoring goals. Slim to be Captain if he ever gets off the sick bed I'm getting depressed going to work every Monday to be asked what's gone wrong............. perhaps the kids will respect CR as well cos I'm not sure our current team do. As was once said you'll never win anything with kids, I fear we won't again with our Senior Players
NewEnglandFox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/10757868/what-now-for-leicester I didn't see if anyone posted it. Sky postgame w/ Neville Carragher
