bovril Posted 30 April 2017 Posted 30 April 2017 Imagine not only supporting Coventry but actually advertising it to the World.
EastAnglianFox Posted 30 April 2017 Posted 30 April 2017 I dont think I've ever watched a Selby match where once he comes to the table I'm actually expecting him to miss.
Izzy Posted 30 April 2017 Posted 30 April 2017 Selby showed some real guts in those final few frames tonight. Interesting that even though he's 10-7 behind, Hendry still thinks he's favourite...
Jimothy Posted 30 April 2017 Posted 30 April 2017 Could have been a lot worse. Good start and end to the day, if he can sort out the bit in the middle he'll have a chance.

I am genuinely not just saying this Muzz but the frame before Hendry first said that in the studio I said to my Mrs if he can win the last couple id make him favourite once they come back tomorrow just on the basis that I cant see him playing that badly again and I think it will be a bit of an over night sickner for Higgins only being 3 ahead when he really did have a chance to turn the screw and be almost out of sight.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 April 2017 Posted 30 April 2017 Good luck to Selby tomorrow come on Mark !!!!

kingfox Posted 1 May 2017 Author Posted 1 May 2017 Tickets for next year were meant to go on sale this morning at 9am, website didn't work. They said come back at 12pm, website still doesn't work

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 1 May 2017 Posted 1 May 2017 Should add... it's amazing what momentum can do to a professionals mentality. Despite holding a 3 frame lead overnight, you can see Higgins has been mentally effected overnight and into this afternoons session because his lead at one point was so much more. On the other side, Selby is riding the crest of a wave at the moment and the bit of luck that can often come with that mind set. The match is certainly in an interestIng position.

I think Selby was seriously underperforming for most of yesterday. Looks a lot more with it today and is probably favourite now, especially if he can get it to 10-10.

I have no doubt the Ding match the afternoon before took its toll and effected Selby's start yesterday. Higgins would also have been mentally fresher you would imagine given his semi barely reached 3 sessions. But Mark's just let up the pressure a little and the 3 identical fouls on the brown by Higgins probably helped clear a cloud in his own mind... it's once again, perfectly poised.

Managed to get a couple of sessions on the middle Sunday.

Will have to rely on returns again like I normally do.
Bert Posted 1 May 2017 Posted 1 May 2017 Selby has played his best snooker of the tournament now just running on grit and determination.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 1 May 2017 Posted 1 May 2017 That was wonderful from Selby, 11-11 never saw that coming
kingfox Posted 1 May 2017 Author Posted 1 May 2017 Expecting Selby to pull away now. Will go with 18-13.
