lgfualol Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 Excellent news. Off you pop, May. Country is ****ed though. Brexit negotiations start in 10 days may as well just stay in for a few more years.

FireFox Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 Imagine if it's a Tory and DUP coalition... because Sinn Fein won't sit.

I would be amazed if the Tories went to the voters again, far far too risky. This has to be a 5 year parliament now to ensure they are in charge of our exit from the EU.

A new leader, a new air of confidence, another election.

Obv excluding coalition.

Buce Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 One thing is clear now: the Labour MPs, who have obstructed Corbyn at every turn, need to eat some serious humble pie and get behind him. He has an overwhelming mandate from the membership, and clearly he is seen as far more electable by the electorate than could ever have been imagined.
fuchsntf Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 This is from afar...One point that came over to some of us, where Tories lost massive ground... Trying to tell the electorate that Labour were in Chaos, and a shambles, but not looking into their own chaos within.Even trying to Deny it..!!! Theresa May is only the frontman/woman dont forget the yahoos Hiding behind her skirt. Labour, lost it probably by still having people like Diane Abbot spouting her mundane utterings, on major Tv time. They didnt grab her away early enough. Somebody like the 'other' Milabrand brother, could of pulled off the turnaround... SNP...spent too much time..again on Independence.Instead of facing other issues. Libs. Never quite get off the ground, not even on this election could they make decent gains Politicians: Uk in general the worst bunch in 30-40yrs...

nnfox Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 No winners here, only losers. Corbyn might come away with a smile but that's as good as it gets for anyone. British public are the biggest losers.

Nah, it's been a good night - Tories are screwed for 2022; destabilised the nation for a vanity election, threw away their majority and have been left holding the brexit bomb. A corbynite Labour has been shown more electable than anyone thought - if you're of a left persuasion last night couldn't realistically have gone better
Finnegan Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 Matt, what's the bookmakers most likely outcome here? Con DUP is a reasonably natural fit and gives them the majority, can that happen? SNP can obviously win it for the Cons but are political opposites but if Cons promise them a second referendum would they say yes? Labour + every other party combined can't hit 326, right?

It's funny, because that's exactly how I would have ran the campaign. Who'd have thought it? Seriously though, how shit must Lynton Crosby and co think May is to let the campaign be run like it was
Guest Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 In seriousness this result does do a few things: - issues affecting the young will have to be taken much more seriously - hard brexit is out the window - it's going to be very, very difficult to keep cutting All in all a good night!
lifted*fox Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 No intention of resigning lol. **** off you crooked old bitch. Nobody likes you.
