'Neutrals' at Madrid game

Recommended Posts

Sorry if it's already been discussed elsewhere, but I had a fair few neutral fans sat near me at the game last night. I haven't noticed this at the previous champs league games and it annoyed me a little after reading on here all the fans and even members that couldn't get tickets.

Did anyone else notice this at all?

didn't notice any neutrals but certainly noticed the group of Madrid fans at the front of the west stand

The lad in front of me at the turnstile didn't know how to scan his ticket, so had obviously never been before. Unless a ST holder/member had flogged their ticket (even in that case, it's pretty infuriating for others who couldn't get hold of one), it's pretty suspect.

The way of the modern world, I suppose. Ticket touting at astronomical prices is almost encouraged, with legal websites dedicated to it.

Glory supporters.  lol

Where were they when we were thumping Yeovil Town at home?

Didn't we need a late, kasper/chris wood equaliser at home to yeovil lol

You mean chasing after a 1-0 deficit and only equalizing at the death of the clock, with Yeovil close to a 2-0 or 3-0 lead even? Good times. Well, times past more than anything.

*Looks at Yeovil in the FL table*

League Two, alright.

I've just had a look back at this.  We won the game 1-0!

I had a 4-1 in my head for some reason.

We did put 4 past a few in that season though - Walsall, Peterboro' to name a couple.

And the Howard header - great scenes right there at the very end.

Although it was a disappointment to be down there, still good memories!

There were about 5 of them in front of me ,didn't cheer when either team scored

i wouldnt say the guy that was next to me was a neutral but he did leave with about ten minuted to go after stating 'he couldnt take any more of this sh*t' was a right odd ball!

I had an old couple on Eastern Boulevard ask me the way to the ground! They'd either been onto the club website or someone had been shopping for them though as they were totally decked out in kit. Easier for some to get tickets now but I hope those with kids who joined the party tay

We were told,  we couldn't sit in our season ticket seats due to UEFA . when we got there , 2 Leicester fans were sitting in them !!

You have to bear in mind when the club say UEFA, they can mean literally anyone - for example, any partner of Leicester could claim the tickets (for example Heineken) and then offer them out in a competition, or give it two employees etc. So it may have been via UEFA that two Leicester fans ended up in those seats.

Also people assume all UEFA tickets are corporate, but the vast majority will be dotted around the crowd.

The crowd was 31,500 so 500 tickets missing. Makes me sick. My bother has a silver card but ticket allocation stopped at gold.

Well no not really, as there was probably 500 netted off between the Home and Away ends. Plus extra Tv camera points which take up some seats. Plus Silver members did have a chance to get tickets ok wasnt much of a chance but it was done fairly IMO.
