Aren't you forgetting that last season he was a million miles away from the PFA player of the year that he was the year before..

This time last year his stock was at its highest.. After his inept performances throughout the whole of last season his value has plummeted.. No one else is even interested in signing him apart from that senile old git Wenger!!.. Take the 35m fast!!

So was Hazard the year we won it. Ok, Mahrez isn't anywhere near as proven as Hazard but in this crazy market where above average players go for well over £30 million, having won fcuk all it's fair to demand big dough for Riyad. He has the best first touch in the league, hands down.

Because Chilwell has come on leaps and bounds imo.

Still a disgrace at defending, which should be his bread and butter.

Where's Fuchs ffs where's Simpson? And no keeper omg

You're right, I forgot Hamer.

We are building a competitive squad and we can only pick 11.

Fuchs and Simpson do not get forward enough (but OK for WB cover or starting as CBs), if we were to play wing backs we'd need them to support attacks, IMO Chilly and Albrighton are perfect for that.

Drinky was a tough choice, and I may get destroyed for this, but I think he was made to look a bit better than he is with Kante alongside him, last season was a bit of reality check.

Again just my opinion.

Yeh he's not the finished article but he will get better with game time. Needs more of a role to play next year. I'm not saying drop Fuchs completely.

You mean in red shirt   In the starting 11 or by respect to his former club asking to play some decent minutes, because mahrez has the right to force the owners to aacept the 35 m or doing a payet      Hahhahahahha

Errm....one slight mistake you are making my friend. Riyad was wanted by every club going last summer. He had the world at his feet. He than failed to show up last year and that interest is no more, clubs doubt his ability and value. Many asking, was it a flash in the pan. If he does "a payet" he has basically ****ed it up even more.

Riyad needs to either convince Arsenal to up their bid (significantly) or have and absolutely amazing start the season, with us. However if he does, I say we up the value by £10 million each goal he scores.

Yeah I rate him, I'm just concerned that although going forward he's impressive, his defending is worryingly poor. Also, he's not the quickest or that skilful so he's really got to knuckle down to become the more complete defender. Hopefully he will.

If he does stay though... Give him a free role in front of a midfield four. If he sulks and doesn't perform push Iborra up and bring in Drinky.

Vardy, Kelechi and Riyad running at your back 4 with chilly and Albrighton supporting on the wings, with Iborra arriving late a bit like Lampard used to....

                         Vardy

                                           Iheanacho

                                   Mahrez

Chilly             Iborra                  Ndidi           Albrighton

             Wes/.              Huth.          Maguire

             Gibson/

             Evans/

Looking at this formation reminds me of when I took some acid in my mates garage.

He has no right whatsoever, he's under contract.

That's not to say he can't or won't 'do a Payet' but he certainly has no 'right'.

I've said it a few times, this 'gentlemans agreement'...he does realise it works both ways doesn't he? By not turning up for the majority of last season he didn't hold up his end of the bargain, I just hope the owners have reminded him of that, he only has himself to blame.

As in the same formation that won Chelsea the league last season and everyone went on to copy?

He isn't the first, or the last to publicly say he wants to leave a club. I've no problem with him. The magic that man gave us in 2015-16 you can't quantify in words, love or fcukin emojis. I'd love him to stay and without seeming desperate I'd happily forgive and forget last season and this farce he's caused with announcing he wants out and no fcuker getting him.

Stay blue Riyad!

I think people sympathised with Leo as it was clear he just wanted to play and Ranieri had broken certain agreements.

How do we know those haven't been broken with mahrez?

He never stated he would never play for the club again...

Also stated IF he didn't move he'd be happy to stay ( Obviously lol:sweating:

I just don't get the hate?

Sorry...

The formation I'm looking looks weird, I'm on my phone so it not formatted,

do you mean 343 with Vardy up top and Nacho/Mahrez either side?

That would be good

That'll be the next thing he'll (Mahrez) be claiming is the owners/club have broken promises, he's already played on it abit mentioned the genetlemens agreement in his original statement, which i've already made the point about, the club have 'broken their promises' to him I guess but Mahrez didn't hold up his end of the bargain:

I mentioned this 'hate' thing in a thread the other week, just because someone doesn't agree with something, slags something/someone off with facts doesn't mean it's hate. Where people are getting pissed off which I assume is what you're calling 'hate' is how Mahrez has acted, not turning up for a majority of the season and then demanding a move, he's simple just not handled the situation very well.

Arsenal fans seem to think they are in the driving seat and can therefore push down the price ..... WHY ????????????

He's signed a long term contract and we are not desperate for the money ???

well they are Arsenal fans, some are pretty clueless tbh, they could be in the driving seat to get him but they'll bloody crash when they bid something that doesnt come to our value, and some of them forget; hes not first choice for them,  Wenger wants to get Thomas Lemar more than Riyad atm

Or we could spunk it on a 'flatters to deceive' Algerian and a truly awful Nigerian winger from Russia and be no better off.

I would rather have Mahrez (however frustrating) over another two signings like the ones above, tbh.

He was no use whatsoever last season in the league, in fact he was a handicap.

If you could guarantee a big increase in effort and end product, I say he has a part to play.

If he didn't pull his finger out, and play for himself again and not the team; and let's face it he cannot be trusted; it would be another disaster.

Pandering to him last season; playing him regardless of what he produced was bound to cause unrest, and doing the same again would be unforgivable by the management.

The old adage, the Club is bigger than the player fits perfectly to this situation. Everything does not revolve around him.

Him staying is a bigger risk more than him going for me.

If he stayed with us and had last seasons attitude he wouldn't be first choice with us never mind arsenal

Desperate.

So what does that change? I don't see what it changes! Just another case of getting in papers, getting his name about and staying relevent when no-one's that keen on taking a chance on him of the back of last season at what we value him at.
