I think he is rushing because he is 26 years old and has always dreamed of evolving in a big club, without breaking to respect Leicester which marked the history of the English championship, even here we are admiring before your successes, Even in the league of the champions. But the question is, what is the point of keeping a player who no longer wants to be? As I said before, he will change completely by going elsewhere, because there will be competition, he has none here, even when he is bad he plays and it is a real problem. Ranierie do not hesitate to take it out after two or three bad performances. Sorry for my english guys. I appreciate your thoughts on this, your English is fine, we can understand it, you would not be able to understand my French

I think most people are resigned to losing him, doesn't however mean we should just fold and sell him on the cheap.
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Vardy fell out with him and Slimani a while ago, not new news.

No one has put in a bid for him (as is reported earlier in this thread.) The only apparent interest is from Arsenal and they have apparently stated they won't pay over £35m for him. He is still under contract and im sure will be in the starting 11 if he is still here. It will then be up to him to prove his worth as a player so come January, clubs will be knocking on the door for him.

You are right, if Lukaku is worth 75 million, I think Mahrez is worth it! I'm even crazier than you on this subject guys I do not intervene in order to take sides even if I am Algerian, I understand your positions as a supporter and I am aware that Riyadh would be nothing without Leicester. I saw that you were talking about Boudebouz, he is in the top 4 of the best passers in the French championship for 2 years, 20-21 passes in two years in a very modest club which must be the equivalent of crystal palace at home. He is a good player, he is a high quality passer, he can play 10 or right, he scored 4 goals on direct free kick, good technique on the small perimeter.

Legend_in_blue Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Regardless of the stance you have on that video, the fact that he's turned back up at the office so to speak, having said he's off, must be a little embarrassing for the bloke. "This place isn't good enough for me" Mahrez now appears to have drawn another blank. Bit like last season.
Babylon Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Not getting a bid doesn't mean we're deep into negotiations with people.

I actually don't .. i think there has been initial interest but the price was too expensive and closed the doors to any potential transfer... Ofc i can only go on what i have read and how i interpret it.
Jon the Hat Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Im sure once he got his head down it felt good to be training with the rest of the lads.

They are all waiting for Mahrez to throw his toys out further and for us to accept something in the £30m / £35m range.

Lets just hope that Mahrez doesn't go down the childish route and decides to buckle down and show other clubs he is worth the asking price.. on the other side of the coin if he is an ass.. i really hope we, as a club set a precedence and stick to our asking fee (or close to it) Time will tell, i guess.
Wymsey Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 With these images of him at the club base, he could may well change his mind. He understands he's at a well-run club who've developed him into what he can be, and although he may not go to another destination he wants to - the club wouldn't have allowed him back in had they think he was disrespecting them or any person at the club.

We all saw how miserable he really is. He's clearly disrupting Jamie Vardy and Tom Lawrence in those photos with his terrible attitude.
Bazly Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Ladbrokes pushing for a cheap Arsenal move for Mahrez , do they stand to gain if it goes ahead? Must be some big money riding on a Barcelona move they are hoping to cash in.

Rather take £25m next year if he fails this season on principle rather than taking what people paid for fecking Bolasie now.

Proves my point about context and RL. They could have posted #20 with the caption "Mahrez spending time with fringe players, what do you think that says?"

Precisely. 30-35m is virtually feck all. If Mahrez is still here on deadline day and Arsenal need him then they will pay the money. If they don't we've got a player we rate at 50m for another year. There is not a single valid reason to sell for less than the asking price.
