I reckon Mahrez will leave and I'll be glad of it as long as it isn't a saga but being rude about the bloke because of a 10 second video is a bit cuntish imo bet he's well happy to see the lads again.

Think some of it is down to how he was performing last season... fans don't like players that don't show up

I'd be sprinting at the thought of shit loads of fitness work on my first day back after a summer off....

Refusal  , unwilling to pay the 50 m ,  all titles the newspapers are making , are proof that Leicester did receive a bid from arsenal

People were saying  and sometimes with mockery   That mahrez has not  any bid to get his  services

Now  we  know  that 35 m proposed by arsenal  is  a fact

Next  step       Leicester     And  arsenal   Will   Come to win win   42 m     As  they did   In  lacazette  transfer

Nah, mate - the Leicester Mockery are always the last to know anything..

None of which means we should let Arsenal pay significantly under his value. Other clubs make sure their prize assets don't go cheaply. Why should we?

And where did I suggest that we should let him go cheaply? Don't take what I said out of context. I said I didn't want him here, I didn't say that we should get rid of him on the cheap. My point was, don't act surprised by his reaction on his way into training this morning.

Thanks for putting words into my mouth though.

Mahrez only has himself to blame in fairness for being here pre season. Because he decided to take last season off (and got no better once Ranieri left like the rest of the team) then teams aren't exactly falling over themselves to sign him. What did he think would happen if he dossed about for 12 months and then tried to head for the exit, that there would be a huge list of suitors?? He should have been a bit more professional.

I didn't, you oversensitive ninny. I was just expressing my view - which is yours too - that the fact that he wants to go should not mean we allow him to go cheaply. I wasn't suggesting you thought that.

If he doesn't put it in now, he'll only suffer later this season when his new team can't rely on him to perform for 90 mins.

I'd like to think he'll be professional and do what he's paid to do, but judging by that clip, he'll put nothing in.

Hope someone comes in soon with a decent offer.

My walk into work after a few weeks off is much worse than that & I don't really mind my job.

I walk into work like that after a weekend

So why did you quote my previous post? Clearly a misunderdtanding.

Think some people are over reacting on here.

Im sure theres a bit of:

-dont want to be here as i thought arsenal would buy me

-first day back at work blues

-embarassment that ive not been sold and have to man up (walk of shame or whatever you want to call it)

-mahrez being mahrez.

-maybe he just got blown by hi missus and could use an hours rest. As you age recovery is longer :)

Can we just put some things into context re: Riyad as i'm fed up of reading complete shit spouted over and over by our fans - the hate is ridiculous!

Firstly the Statement he released, We all knew he would look to leave this summer, so the statement wasn't a surprise. I actually give him credit for his honesty that he would like to move on as it shows he has respect for the club and the fans. He also did it early on to give the club plenty of time to find a suitable buyer and replacement. He is looking a little silly now, as nobody wants to pay the money for him but people on here saying he's desperate to leave, hates it here etc - read the statement again:

"Out of the huge admiration and respect I hold for Leicester City Football Club I wanted to be totally honest and transparent with them and have therefore informed the club that I feel now is the time for me to move on," the 26-year-old said in a statement.

"I had a good discussion with the chairman last summer and we agreed at that time that I would stay for another year in order to help the club as best as I could following the transition of winning the title and in the Champions League.

"However, I am fiercely ambitious and feel that now is the time to move on to a new experience.

I've always enjoyed a good relationship with the chairman and everyone at the club, and I hope I have been able to repay the faith shown to me by my performances and commitment on the pitch during my time here.

I've had the four best seasons of my career at Leicester and have loved every moment. I feel immense pride to have been a part of what we have achieved during my time at the club, culminating in becoming Premier League champions.

The relationship I share with the club and our amazing fans is something I will treasure forever and I truly hope they will understand and respect my decision."

I read that and i don't get the impression of a mardy player whos ruining the dressing room spirit. Behind the scenes im sure the boys will be winding him up, but I see no reason why he won't come back and hit the ground running whatever happens with the transfer.

He's always come across as sulky and yes he didn't have a great season last year, but thats no different to most of the team. As long as he is a Leicester player, I will support him because we know what he is capable of.

Personally, i hope he stays, has another great season and gets his dream move to Barcelona next summer.

People are blinded by media reps if they think sentences like 'Leicester City's amazing fans' are what he's truly thinking. He's gone to his agent and team with a 'I want to get out' and they've written some guff to save face and make sure he doesn't get booed on opening day.

Oh without a doubt that wasn't written by him - but the tone is right the timing was right and we all knew it was coming anyway.

Theres a big difference between - i want to get out and i want to leave to further my career.

From everything i've seen, he wants to further his career (which is understandable) not get out at all costs!

Last seasons performances is all I need to go by. A world class player when he tries that is for sure, but last season was a disgrace I'm sorry it just wasn't good enough. We expected him to leave but do it professionally perform for the club paying you to do so until you get your move.

That's a statement prepared by his agent mate.

But I agree with the sentiment- if we keep him, hopefully the lack of interest wakes him up and we get something close to the 2015/16 Mahrez back.

been watching him intently down the club have you? Or are you basing it off a 12 second clip and all

Guess a lot of people weren't watching last season

This forum is absolutely unbelievable.

Transfer activity picks up and the usual legion of suspects whose lips are still quivering from Big Bad Rudkin not signing any players come out in force because of a 12 second video of him walking into fvcking training.

His actions over the summer have been deplorable at times but he's turning up and he hasn't said anything about refusing to play or throwing a wobbly. Trying to find evidence in  a 12 second video in order to crucify a player who's done so much for us over the years is shameful.

Some of you need to get a bigger grip than Mahrez does lol

Nobody will care about anything he's done or doing now, not if he stays and he gets back to form, don't worry about it :)

Of course not and with the players coming in an in form Mahrez is an exciting thought. Stranger things have happened
