Mahrez to .......................?

If Mahrez wanted out now then he shouldn't have shown it by coming to some sort of informal agreement, which doesn't seem to be binding, but by signing a contract for a single year. By signing a 4-year contract (no doubt for purposes of greed and insurance) he technically, and legally, committed himself to us for 4 years. He should expect no other outcome than that we will let him go on OUR terms, not his..

On the other hand, we could have offered him a lucrative contract that he found hard to resist because of the lack of other offers thereby ensuring we get the maximum amount of money for him because he's on a long term contract.

Riyad Mahrez 'furious with Leicester City after Arsenal move blocked'

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has reportedly made it known that he is unhappy with the club's decision to play hardball with Arsenal regarding a summer move.

The Algeria international intends to leave the King Power Stadium before the end of the transfer window, a year on from playing a starring role in the Foxes' famous Premier League title triumph.

Arsenal have shown a strong rumoured interest in recruiting the 26-year-old but were put off by Leicester's supposed £50m valuation, instead turning their focus to AS Monaco ace Thomas Lemar for a similar price.

According to The Mirror this has left Mahrez unhappy as he was promised that he could move on this summer, with the ex-Le Havre man fearing that he will now be priced out of a move as no offers have yet been made.

Mahrez, who managed six goals and three assists in the top flight last season, has three years left to run on the £100,000-a-week deal that he penned last year.

I know it's probably just paper talk/click-bait but 'furious' :crylaugh:

I'm just finding the whole situation funny now,

If he doesnt think he's worth 50m then he isn't good enough to be the main man at a big club, it's simple.

Mahrez is not linked with lemar in his potential transfer to arsenal

aW strategy is to secure most positions one by one   After securing lacazette means pushing giroud to the exit  and now comes lemar as hisa target for a CM position replacing the long injured santi cazorla  and ryad mahrez is his target as a winner by changing formation from343 to 4231

The  ase of mahrez is a simple one is the price tag and no by clause is valued at 50

Mahrez is world class above leicester players ( besides kasper and Ben Chilwell the next marcelo ) so no benefit to keep him from his move as he is now a target by some leicester fans , some former LCFC players ( eg Matt Eliot ) to destroy and make his staying difficult

I see arsenal  coming with with a bid close to 50 m

Mahrez is staying professional as demanded by  Craig Shakespeare

Footbal is a nice story   Now mahrez and next  ben  Chilwell ( move to real Madrid )

Can i have some of your drugs please?

" According to the Mirror " Mahrez is unhappy.

Says it all, some journalistic invention unless they have a hotline to RM's emotions.

Report is Mahrez is furious LC are blocking his cut price deal with the Arse. Though shit earning £100k a week regardless of performance. Report card says must try better to justify the £50mn price tag.

So if we don't get 50 million for him, we end up with one of the leagues most skilful players working his nuts off and trying his hardest next season in order to build his stock back up. Blimey, I feel so sorry for us.

Thats what he needs to do if he wants to force a move

Play him off the bench at Arsenal, if he doesn't rip them apart then he has no chance.

So it's ok then, that he took the greedy option, rather than taking the more honest approach that would have left him in control of his destiny now?

I honestly don't give a shit about what mahrez  has done for himself, that's not my point, what I'm saying is we've managed to tie a wantaway player down for our benefit, and by benefit I mean we get maximum dollar for him

As long as his head is right I think Shakey considers him undroppable :)

He was one of the holy trinity, along with Kante and Vardy, responsible for winning the Premier League. The guy is class, and has more skill than the rest of the team put together!

I don't get why so many people would be happy to have a player back in the first team next season, when he has made it clear he does not want to be here and there seems to be no indication that he's changed his mind, regrets what he's said etc.

Indeed, all the reports are that he's getting peed off the longer he's staying here.

Is it more important to people to have players at the club who really want to play for us, or very good players, when they don't?

Thank goodness we have King, James, Okazaki, Benalouane and Musa, who are so loyal and will soften the blow if Mahrez leaves
