irishfoxkev Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Anyone thinking of getting down early to get new kits ?Don't rush...got to ground at 9.30 after early morning flight expecting to be able to collect my tickets and have leisurely browse in shop as per usual Club site says open at 9 on match days...but it is closed till 12??? Loads of people here early very annoyed..reason for late opening apparently only licensed to trade for 6 hours on Sunday and as shop is open for 45 mins after match that is 6 pm approx hence can't open till 12..gonna be very busy come 12 to 3
promised land Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Not really the shops fault is it? Blame the Victorian Sunday trading laws.

deccers Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 'Fiasco' boils down to not checking opening hours. Can hammer the club shop/ticket sales about many things, but probably not this.

irishfoxkev Posted 21 May 2017 Author Posted 21 May 2017 Ok we did go onto club website and went to club shop opening hours which says 9 for match days....didn't see this notice and as live in Ireland ain't aware of the Sunday trading laws ...would feel foolish if we were the only ones here early but there are loads of others...many who have ordered stuff online and got email confirming ready for collection at 10.....gonna park up the car and stroll around enjoying the luvly sunshine ☀️ ??

boots60 Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 So the club shop is shut. It's a beautiful morning. Take a wander down the cut to castle gardens. Take in the beauty of our fair city. Pop into Newark houses or Jewry wall museum.Reflect on 2 eventful seasons.Have a jar or two. Then after we've beat Bournemouth you'll still have an hour to spend your hard earned in the club shop.
irishfoxkev Posted 21 May 2017 Author Posted 21 May 2017 Would luv to find nice beer garden but I am designated driver today ??
urban.spaceman Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 When I was a kid I pestered my dad for weeks to buy me a shirt and get Iwan Roberts name on the back. So eventually we went to Filbert Street, picked out the shirt and took it up to the counter. They'd run out of R's. So they rang up the shop that used to be on Churchgate, and confirmed that they had them in stock. So we drove round, parked up, walked round to the shop. No O's. Eventually they managed to sort it out and I got it printed the next day; 3 weeks later O'Neill sold him to Wolves.

Merging Cultures Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Who is shopping while the game is on? Could they close for the 90 mins of the game + half time and open at 10:00?
EGBFitness Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Went down this morning and was shut. Just released a new kit, last game of the season and they open at 12. There was a few down there aswell. Website says 10am on Sundays or 9am on match days.
Livid Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 They announced the opening times on Thursday night, the issue is with the website not the shop.

Leicesterpool Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 In my opinion they shouldn't sell the new shirt on the same day as the last game of the season causes as expected cahos, alot of people go in on the last day of the season as it is to pick up some end of season bargians. I never get the urgency to buy the new kit straight away it's released, you can get it anytime in the summer.
