I'm afraid that the focus again today will be on how fanatastic the emergency services are (they are, we know this) and on how the City of London will be strong and stand against terrorism. Etc etc etc.

We're not a Christian country. There are more atheists than Christians. And what are you suggesting, deporting all muslims? Nice to see the far right out in force though. Yeah, none of us like terrorist attacks. But for all your bleating about "something must be done", I don't see any sensible or rational suggestions.

 

Because the reality is, it's nigh impossible to stop things like this happening. If one person decides to go on a killing spree, no amount of safeguards can stop it, they can only lessen the impact. And no amount of "lock them all up and execute them all" is going to solve that. It'll only make it worse.

 

If there was something sensible which could be done, then I'm sure we'd all be for it.

Just because i said that that retaliating against innocent people in revenge for these latest attacks makes people as bad as them doesn't mean I'm a lefty pushover?! Not at all, if I was confronted by one of these attacker and had the opportunity to kill them? Remove the thousands of people on that "watch list" from our streets for starters. Don't care if they were born here, if they've linked to terrorist cells then they shouldn't be walking British streets.

It depends why they're on the watch list. It's not as simple as that; it's difficult for me/you/any of us to judge, because we don't actually know what processes they go through to put someone on their watch list.

 

You could end up arresting (and I say arresting, because you can't deport someone if they're born here...) hundreds of innocent British civilians.

While I would like them to not be walking our streets. I think the main reason they are allowed to is so through monitoring, extremists NOT known by police are found and potential attacks are prevented. Can also try and trace who they're taking orders from.

So what are you suggesting we do....? Because I'm not seeing any sensible or rational solutions so far. You've got a right to be angry, although if that anger is directed at all muslims, rather than the perpetrators, then I'd suggest it's misplaced. However, there's no magic button that we can press to stop this, no easy solution.

The vast majority of Muslims in this country absolutely condemn this shite. Think about possibly getting to know some, and ask them yourself. Also, the terrorists mostly attack indiscriminately. Do you think the manchester bomber decided to have a look round to see if there were any Muslims were there before blowing himself up? What about the London bombers? What about the bombings around the world, the majority of the victims for which are Muslims?

Hold on,so your suggesting that I shouldn't look at innocent Muslims in the same way I do terrorists,firstly I don't think any of us could split the difference between a good and bad Muslim,Seing as it's only when they've blew themselves up they become bad,up till then there good innocent Muslims in your eyes,secondly why don't you try and educate Muslims on not to kill innocent people,

Have you ever spoken to a muslim out of interest? Saying 95% don't give a shit is a bit extreme. I wouldn't say muslims are not scared as they are still the biggest victims of terror attacks - maybe not in the UK but extremists see muslims that don't agree with them as traitors.

And do you not think that the majority of Muslims also are fed up, fed up with the evil people who use their religion to commit these atrocious and heinous crimes?
