Jonny Evans

Bid of £10m turned down according to BBC.

BBC Sport reckons we've had a £10m bid turned down:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40271696  (bottom of the Maguire report)

I'd be all for this. Proven PL performer (alliteration).

[VLC86]

Experienced defender and £10m is nothing nowadays. I would be happy with a 4 of Huth, Morgan, Maguire and Evans.

Sad for Benny though, he wears crazy clothes so deserves better.

[Fox92]

I'd be pleased with Evans too.

[Kitchandro]

I've never rated him.

[AKCJ]

10m would have been one hell of a signing.

Very experienced, very calm, a leader and still only 29.

[The Horse's Mouth]

not a signing I'd be excited about but would be a solid signing

[VLC86]

Sounds like it might have been him or big Hazza.

[Guest NGoloMode]

Good player. I know Arsenal tried to get him on the cheap last season and it didn't work. Can't see him leaving WBA unless it's a big bid.

Jonny Evans is decent premier league centre half, I do think we will sign another CB but reckon it will be Kara Mbodji.

[AmarteyAndChill]

Quality, left footed aswell.

[Babylon]

Would have been a good replacement for Benny. And a good bet to replace one of the other two as well.

[hackneyfox]

Do West Brom want any of our cast-offs?

[fox766]

Would prefer smalling but doubt we will sign him.

Would pefer Mbodji or Smalling

[foxes21]

Evans is quality.

Gerrimin.

[Scotch]

If this is true, it shows we are after more than one CB. A few folk, myself included were wondering wether we would make do with one. Apparently not.

[foxfanazer]

That's out of the blue! I'd take him but think there are better options out there

[AmarteyAndChill]

The problem with signings Mbodji he plays Right CB, same as Maguire, wes and Yohan..

Depends if we were hedging our bets in case we didn't get Maguire

Who is left footed out of those we're linked with?
