And that stalemate – with Albion adamant Evans, 29, is not for sale – means the Premier League rivals are now on collision course in pursuit of unsettled Manchester United centre-half Smalling. The whole world smiles Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Would love this! Shame it's the daily star! Might as well ask your dog if he thinks we will sign him.
justfoxes Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 By all accounts Smalling is wanted by Both West Brom and ourselves, but will we have more pulling power both in transfer fee and wages along with our ambition to get the Manchester Utd Centre back ? http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/623117/EXCLUSIVE-Leicester-News-West-Brom-News-Manchester-United-Chris-Smalling

Simmo86 Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Daily Mail say Spurs want him after missing out on Maguire.
Milo Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 If it wasn't from the Daily Star i'd be interested in this. Not sure what his ambition/interest is, but maybe Stoke/West Brom/us type clubs is his limit so we might be in with a chance. Decent low maintenance player, happy if it happens
BigC Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Was immense under LVG, would take him for sure. Doubt it will happen though

Fox92 Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Generally never rated him as a player for a top side like Manchester United, though he did impress me other season under LVG, but I think for a club like us he'd be a solid signing and someone we should look at if they want to let go.
tom27111 Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Make. This. Happen. Smalling and Maguire is a potential England centre back pairing.

Look at Evans. Made the step down to west brom and is there best player according to some fans.
dormelcfc Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Would be a great signing at £15m. However, being in the Daily Star - a load of rubbish. Could just be his agent attempting to drum up interest considering Smalling's current situation at United.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Notably better than what we have. Him and Maguire would do us for years to come.
AmarteyAndChill Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Maguire-Ball playing CB. Smalling-No nonsense defender, wins everything due to him being like 6ft 5 & his pace will be an asset for us at the back. Both are good defenders. Would be a solid, balanced back 2.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 In the game when vards scored the record setting goal, smalling was class. I'd 100% take him
Robboisafox Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Get this done and iheanacho And a real good playmaker in the middle someone in the mata mould then it would be a proper carlsberg moment
DatfoxesKid23 Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 probably not going to happen as tottenham are interested in him too http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4614060/Tottenham-eye-Manchester-United-defender-Chris-Smalling.html
Dylster Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 Can't see why Spurs would be interested in him as they have Vertonghen and Alderweireld already.
Hollism Posted 17 June 2017 Posted 17 June 2017 This would be a great signing. Wonder which of the three mentioned clubs would be his preferred choice. We're the furthest from Manchester by a long way, but he's a London boy isn't he? If he's settled in Manchester/Cheshire, that gives Stoke an advantage. If not then it's between us and WBA. Thats assuming there's an ounce of truth in this anyway
