I could be reading to much into this (but what else is there to do in pre-season?). Could the fact that Albrighton was coming up against Fuchs in training suggest Shakey is planning on playing him on the right?

11 vs 11 game, I assume Mahrez was RW on one team and Albrighton was RW on the other team. If Mahrez stays, Albrighton would probably stay at LW although they are both better at RW.

If the training kit squad numbers are accurate, Musa is moving to 13, James to 22, Iborra is 7.

Anyone else notice any others?

Musa 13

Maguire 15

Amartey 18

James 22

Iborra 27

If these are the actual numbers for the new season, it means 7 and 8 are now free, presumably Gray moves to one of those as James has taken his number. However it would be very strange that Iborra hasn't taken his old number 8.

I hope when/if Kelechi comes that he doesn't take 72, big numbers just look weird

Could just be whatever they grabbed that were spare. No one buy any shirts until the official numbers are announced!

Albrighton just scored another brilliant goal, not on Twitter yet but it is on the club's Facebook page.

I'm going to be disappointed when the season starts and his shooting goes to poo.

Albrighton for England this season! I've got a feeling we'll end up with three players playing for England at the World Cup.

Could do with someone who plays with a smile on his face and shows a bit of passion.

I pondered the same and then began looking for other clues - like who was on each side, but it's all rather inconclusive.

The one idea that does look to be there on both Albrighton clips is a front four - main striker, one deeper centrally, two on the flanks. That was the attacking setup for both, and given the drills looked designed to promote attacking moves more than defensive cohesion thats possibly the safest wild assumption you could take from them.

No chance. Albrighton could score 20 and we'd still take an injured Jesse Lingard.

Albrighton did say at the tail end of last season that he felt he was finally adding the goals to his game which had been missing before. I reckon it will continue into the actual season and he'll be our best winger, especially if he plays on the right. People moan about us wanting to replace Mahrez with a left sided Albrighton if he goes, but he's so much more than a workhorse :blush:

Interestingly scored it exactly the same way he crossed in for that Huth goal against West Ham :)

What an amazing assist that was. He's got some tricks up his sleeve.

Musa wore #46 last pre season so probably best i take the squad numbers with a grain of salt until officially announced for the new season

Simpson and Albrighton on the right is just not enough creativity. We simply cannot replace Mahrez with Albrighton.

3-4-1-2 though with Albrighton would be sound. Or just sign a new right back. It's quite incredible that we've signed 3 in about 5 years and 2 of them have long gone.
