Melbourne Fuchs Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 https://www.lcfc.com/news/438270/press-release "Through the season, supporters that want their shirt to match the one worn by the team on the pitch will have the option of adding the SCB sleeve badge to replica shirts at no additional charge." Don't think there will be many takers on that offer.
StanSP Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 Quote The Foxes are among the first top-flight football clubs in England to secure such a deal, which will see the logo of SCB – Thailand’s first bank with more than 100 years of history – proudly adorning the famous shirts in every Premier League fixture through 2017/18. do they really think fans give a shit about this? I don't give a shit if we're first or last to agree a sleeve sponsor. Looks fvcking ugly and ruins the brilliant away kit we would have had.
dormelcfc Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 Why would it be relevant that we're the first? Surely a negative considering the amount of advertising in football now anyway...
foxy boxing Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 Sleave it out, if it brings in more revenue for the club that's a good thing.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 What about those who were forced to have the shirt with the sponsor on? SHAMBLES!!!

As far as I gathered on yesterdays kit thread, there wasn't an option on the mens shirts, you had to have it. Is now that not the case?
FrankieADZ Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 Quote As part of the partnership’s launch, a limited number of special edition replica shirts, featuring the SCB sleeve badge, will be printed and available to buy from the City Fanstore at King Power Stadium and online at lcfc.com/shop. Through the season, supporters that want their shirt to match the one worn by the team on the pitch will have the option of adding the SCB sleeve badge to replica shirts at no additional charge. thats from the article on the site.......so does that make all shirts in the fanstore with the badges on limited editions then

BlueSi13 Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 Seriously can't believe the Premier League has sanctioned sleeve sponsors. Are the clubs hard up for cash at the minute or something? We'll probably end up looking like one of those weird Mexican clubs with 50 sponsors on their shirts within a few years.
Apollo Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 So they won't be on the shirts fans buy in the shop from now on?
AyewJoking Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 We probably have to pay Siam to make up for the loss of advertising on replica shirts now
Mike Oxlong Posted 15 July 2017 Posted 15 July 2017 I'd prefer it if we were sponsored by Harry Potter than SCB. You can't beat a Wizard's Sleeve.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 16 July 2017 Posted 16 July 2017 "The people of Thailand have become extremely proud of Leicester City and – with SCB joining King Power and our other valued Thai partners – Leicester City is very proud of its growing relevance to the Kingdom of Thailand." Also, them trying to pass the first shirts off as "limited edition" now they realised how badly they affected sales and offering them without the patches in future is hilarious.

The worst part of the article for me was the implication that being one of the first clubs to have a sleeve sponsor was something to be proud of.
Foxxed Posted 16 July 2017 Posted 16 July 2017 You see a player. I see valuable advertising real estate. In future we'll obviously need fatter players to maximise profits.
m4DD0gg Posted 16 July 2017 Posted 16 July 2017 Dont care one jot, if it means more money into the club they can sponser what ever they want.

I read that in the light of King Power having 4 lawsuits brought against them from the Thai Governent's anti corruption unit. Dont think has much to do with a purple rectangle on a shirt tbh. I think the subtext is, King Power, together with it's Thai partners has brought pride and honour to Thailand. Show us more respect than to bring lawsuits against us please.
