willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 Its getting a little tedious now, week in week out, play me or sell me reports, He's good but not irreplaceable.

Koke Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 Gray gets a bad rep on here for things he hasn't actually said.
On our way... Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 I'd take the reported £30m and lock Mahrez in a cupboard until 1st Sept

TheMightySystem Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 What has he moaned about? I cant see anything on twitter or instagram? After Shefield though he has a right to be agravated if he doesn't get at least 20 minutes against Man U. Other clubs put faith in their youngsters to do a job whereas we just want to use them in the final 5 minutes. Brighton was the perfect time to give him 20-30 minutes yet we gave him 3. Its was the same at the end of the season. We were safe, Mahrez obviously wanted to leave and was out of form, we give him very little game time off the bench when he should have been starting the last 2 games.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 Haven't seen what he's put but they showed a photo of him on Question of Sport earlier and no one could name him, probably pissed him off! (Also the photo after his was some proper obscure Iranian (?) female athlete and someone got her name instantly, just to rub salt in the wounds)
whoareyaaa Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 Definitely a talent in there just got tot give him time, be stupid to sell... Surely a player wanting to play is a good thing.
st albans fox Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 None of us know what goes on behind the scenes at the club, I would have hoped he would have signed a new contract by now but he hasn't. Perhaps that has upset the powers that be ??

He's our 3rd best winger so shouldn't be starting. The game absolutely wasn't safe against Brighton, you can't afford to be complacent at this level. He has been unlucky to be behind probably 2 of the best wingers Leicester have ever had, but that's just the way it is, we shouldn't be throwing him in the team just to give him playing time, it'll come of he's patient.
Bamba's Babes Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 Probably about his league record for us... 1 goal 4 assists

Bamba's Babes Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 I hate it when I forget that you have to start games to play well.

I agree he shouldn't be starting, Albrighton and Mahrez have been brilliant so far. My issue is that he doesn't get adequate time off the bench and him just sitting on it and getting 5 minutes here and there isn't going to make him any better. I disagree on Brighton, they offered nothing going fowards and its not like we would be replacing a Cb with Gray. While he would have defensive responsibilities he has shown he can follow them no worse then Mahrez and might have put Brighton on the back foot, sometimes making an attacking change can help remove pressure from the opposition. After this tough group of fixtures Gray will hopefully be getting more game time, if he isn't then I think he will put in a transfer request in January.
Fox92 Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 He definitely deserved a start towards the end of last season. He was superb at Sheffield United but unfortunately he's got Albrighton and Mahrez ahead. I wouldn't be going with Gray tomorrow because we can't afford to keep losing the ball - I'm even skeptical to Mahrez starting out wide tomorrow. The old saying "he's got to remain patient" but for a lad of his potential he needs to be playing, to develop and for his career. If he wants to play every week then fair play to him - footballer's get a bad name when they're happy to sit on the bench with no ambition.

Chilwell will be the main left back when Fuchs leaves (which I imagine will be between the end of the season and the end of next season) and everybody knows it. Gray is behind Albrighton and Mahrez who could both be at the club for the next 5 or 6 seasons.
Great Boos Up Posted 25 August 2017 Posted 25 August 2017 I get annoyed with the social media onslaught of our players too. But apart from those horrible buy out clauses we had, here and now; we don't want to or have to or need to sell anyone. He stays and he plays when CS tells him to.
