Demari Gray's Attitude

If he doesn't start on Saturday after what Mahrez did then its a poor show. Mahrez doesn't want to be here and actively went around on deadline day trying to sell himself, whilst Gray is desperate to play. It's a no brainer really, I hope that he gets his chance to shine whilst in such good form.

if gray worked on his decision making (dropping your shoulder and switching inside to shoot" is not enough...) he could force his way into the team.   Up to him - the ball's in his court.  I could say that as a f an I am frustrated by his lack of progress.  See there's two sides to it.

 

My worry is that as a sub he comes on when the defense is slowing - I wonder what he would be like as an opening bat!

how much progress do you expect someone to make in 5-10 minute spells of football once every 3 or 4 games? players develop with consistent football and lots of minutes on the pitch

But he's playing for England at the time yet he still deliberately gives out bad body language to entice the question and can't resist having a dig a the club.

 

In isolation it could be forgiveable but it happens time and time again.

 

And yes, I have criticised Mahrez too.

 

For me, the bottom line is that I don't want any players here that are unhappy or want to leave, however talented they are.

yes - it catch 22 once the season starts...  maybe he needed a better preseason.  he has to make the most of his opportunities.   Unless we just play him as some kind of experiment (with points at large...) - I could be convinced to give he a go ... but if he doesn't deliver then he's off at HT

well bringing him on with more than 2 mins to go would be a start, the time he came on against United is about right, gives him a proper chance to impress and actually have an influence on the game.

At home to teams like Brighton he should be starting as well

We were much better playing both players at Old Trafford the other week. Once Gray came on we created more and we weren't relying on just one man (Mahrez) to create.

 

I like Albighton, yes he's underrated and works hard but we lack serious creativity.

I agree Albrighton is a solid player but he is deified as though he is an all time great or something

Fully agree with this. I'd love to see us take the game to Chelsea tomorrow and actually start Mahrez and Gray from the off. I can't see it though.

I'm sure the like of Andy King and others are equally frustrated/fed up/annoyed about their lack of game time.

 

But they doesn't seem to talk to the press about it or feel the need to make comments on social media.

 

Maybe that's why some people have an issue with Grays 'attitude'?

Jesus.  Thanks Sigmund Freud.  "Deliberately gives out bad body language"?  Now there is a statement based on no actual facts whatsoever.  Poor lad maybe just looks grumpy?  I know people who's faces look like they literally just shit in their own pants and can feel it slowly sliding down to the knee but that's just their faces.  Look at Tony Blair.  He smiled all the time and was an absolute anustwister.  Nothing in those quotes "disrespects" the club.  He is a young lad being asked questions and yes he may need to learn a bit of "savvy" when it comes to PR but fvck me, if I were a 20 odd year old footballer in this day and age, with all the pitfalls that social media brings, I'd be an absolute cvnt.  Proclamations of genius, bad jokes, moans, rants, a nice few veiny nob pics. I'd be a cretin.

I think it's based on his post match interview which (I didn't see it so am happy to be corrected) he was asked why he didn't look happy when celebrating the goal .... and his response was that he wasn't getting enough game time at Leicester.

 

That does seem premeditated and is a come and get me plea? Also the deletion of all of his LCFC photos on his instagram which now contains just his England career - it's all a bit petulant, even for the biggest DG fans??

No he's not.

 

He doesn't create half as much as Mahrez does and his crossing, although it is superb, is inconsistent.

 

I like Albrighton but he's a player we can improve on... Now I've criticized him I'll expect the same reply of "oh he's underrated" as if he's immune from criticism. He was awful against Manchester United and should have been hooked at half time.

Thanks for some actual facts.   You know most of my posts are slightly tongue in cheek and a little "agitating" but I do think he needs some slack.  Yes it sounds a little petulant and yes a little childish but we can all be nobsacks sometimes, especially at that age.  I don't mind a wee bit of "cheer up me duck" but starting a thread and then analysing his every behavior just seems tedious and unnecessary.  He looks to me like someone who needs a hug, and encouragement and maybe just lets out his frustrations in the wrong way.  If you're reading this Demarai, Rumble got two big arms ready for a man hug. X

I agree entirely Rumble .....

 

He does really look like someone that needs a big arm around his shoulder and a whisper of "i believe in you' in his ear!!

 

Maybe Shakey has been doing that but now his actions now need to back that up - by giving him game time??
