Demari Gray's Attitude

BTW, I'm not attacking or criticising DG .... I actually think it's a great shame he's not enjoying himself as he'd be happier, more confident and very probably play better and achieve his objectives. I wish he'd smile for his own sake, not mine!!

I agree entirely Rumble .....

He does really look like someone that needs a big arm around his shoulder and a whisper of "i believe in you' in his ear!!

Maybe Shakey has been doing that but now his actions now need to back that up - by giving him game time??

I think at the end of last season he definitely deserved it as Mahrez was not performing.  It's a tough one.  I think his potential is huge and certainly don't want to lose him but at present would I drop Mahrez or Albrighton?  Not sure.  I just feel bad for him with the whole “he definitely has a bad attitude” stuff.  If we look at the facts, right now he is being accused of having a bad attitude whilst being kept out of the team by someone who has stated they do not want to be at the club and who tried to force a move on deadline day (not having a go at Mahrez, I love him, just pointing out the doublethink on this forum).  Hopefully he can be managed well, will get more and more game time and become a top player for us.

I don't know if Ranieri has caused this thinking among fans, but rotating between players isn't dropping, it's just using all the quality at your disposal. It seems as a fan base we tend to worry about what we'll be losing if someone doesn't player, rather than what we'll gain from their replacement.

This isn't specifically aimed at you by the way Rumble, it's just something that I've noticed quite a lot and yours is the most recent example :D xoxo

No he's not.

He doesn't create half as much as Mahrez does and his crossing, although it is superb, is inconsistent.

I like Albrighton but he's a player we can improve on... Now I've criticized him I'll expect the same reply of "oh he's underrated" as if he's immune from criticism. He was awful against Manchester United and should have been hooked at half time.

We disagree then...

He is not imune from crtisism.... and he could do better... but right now i think hes worth starting

Oh aye, I agree with you.  But at some point someone is going to be "first choice" and some players will get more time (and less rotation) than others.   It depends on whether players are happy with the amount of rotation I suppose?  I think probably the "dropping" narrative comes from the fact that we are a "smaller club" and maybe historically have not had huge squads with heavy rotation?  The thing about Gray is he could probably be used on either wing, number 10 or right up top so he could feasibly be started/subbed on in most games and in a number of positions.  Balancing a squad is part of the job I suppose and at least (so far) Shakey seems a very popular figure. Jesus.  Thanks Sigmund Freud.  "Deliberately gives out bad body language"?  Now there is a statement based on no actual facts whatsoever.  Poor lad maybe just looks grumpy?  I know people who's faces look like they literally just shit in their own pants and can feel it slowly sliding down to the knee but that's just their faces.  Look at Tony Blair.  He smiled all the time and was an absolute anustwister.  Nothing in those quotes "disrespects" the club.  He is a young lad being asked questions and yes he may need to learn a bit of "savvy" when it comes to PR but fvck me, if I were a 20 odd year old footballer in this day and age, with all the pitfalls that social media brings, I'd be an absolute cvnt.  Proclamations of genius, bad jokes, moans, rants, a nice few veiny nob pics. I'd be a cretin.

Cut the wee guy a bit of slack.  Come on Demarai, we love you. X

He was asked why he didn't smile when he 'celebrated' his goal to which he replied he was frustrated at Leicester.

It was premeditated and deliberate and he couldn't wait to have yet another sly little dig even when he's away with England.

Keep up Rumble.

Not shakeys style..... he doesnt want to risk a battering that might put his job on the line .

Btw...  albrighton is the best winger in england right now.... so i wouldnt drop him at the mo

Albrighton is not the best winger in England. I like him a lot, and he's underrated but he's not the best there is. Ridiculous comment.

We're at home and need to get amongst them and get at them. The way we played at OT was awful. We improved massively when Gray came on because he helped us get up the pitch more.

Got a sneaky feeling Gray starts tomorrow at the expense of one of our wingers...

If Iborra was fit I really think we'd go 433, but I can't see us doing that with King instead. If we went 433 I think Gray would get game time tomorrow.

I'm sure the like of Andy King and others are equally frustrated/fed up/annoyed about their lack of game time.

But they doesn't seem to talk to the press about it or feel the need to make comments on social media.

Maybe that's why some people have an issue with Grays 'attitude'?

the media are on a kick of England youngsters not getting game time, Gray was playing and staring for England U21s and then interviewed, he didn't go running to the press

He isn't starting tomorrow! Guess how I figured that out? It seems that He deleted every post about Leicester from his instagram lol (not 100% sure because I don't use instagram, one of the lads here who use insta can confirm this, I only got this from a tweet)

He only has 4 posts with him in an england kit on his account

Just giving people something to talk about because the Silva thread is kinda slow right now lol

When Gray has started for us, he has not really performed. He wasn't great in the League cup start. His best bits of games for us have been when he has been subbed on.

I think that at present he lacks the tactical sense and team spirit to start, but is a great impact sub, either to change a game where we are dropping points, or to stretch the defence of another team that is pushing for an equaliser.

I would like to see him subbed on earlier at about 60 min, for Mahrez, and to start against Liverpool in the cup.

Wes looks like 50 Cent in this picture.

To be fair, that is a bit telling. He had a lot of LCFC posts and now none. What's the point in that? He's just not as good as Riyad. Sorry Lad.

There is nothing more pathetic than a sulking footballer.

I understand that he's frustrated and he's young and will therefore make mistakes, but this is just sad.

Is deleting all your insta photos the modern day equivalent of cutting your wife out of all of your photos after she leaves your for a man who ostensibly sells cleaning products door to door, but she insists on referring to as an 'entrepreneur', and is rumoured to be a big player in the Northampton dogging scene?

Players only gain form and confidence when they get regular games. If you've played football then you know how hard it is to only get 5 mins here or there then suddenly a start. If he got a run of games I'm convinced he'd show everyone how good he is. The problem he has is that we have two really good players who start ahead of him.

Offered very little again today.

Getting tired of fans clamouring for him to get more time, because he hardly ever contributes anything positive.

Mahrez found a white shirt more than a blue shirt today but I'm sure you will have no probs starting him agsin next week.

Gray didn't do much wrong today.  He was as good/bad as the rest of the team. Go find another scapegoat for this week.

Offered very little apart from draw the goalkeeper which led to Vardy winning the penalty.

When Mahrez beat a player and then didn't pass to Vardy, instead tried to beat more..... if that was Gray it'd be picked out consistently on here.

He needs a run. He is still a young lad and is not gonna improve while sitting on the bench. He looked far more interested than Mahrez did today.
