Koke Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 11 hours ago, Izzy Muzzett said: "Fed-up Demarai Gray has revealed his misery at life on the Leicester subs’ bench and begged Craig Shakespeare for more game-time" I'm getting fed up of him saying he's fed up. Life must be so miserable for the young fella. Apart from the small fact that he didn't say he was "fed up". A provocative headline and shit article from a tabloid is enough for our fans to stick the knife in as usual. He said he was frustrated but he respects the manager and he will continue to get his head down and work hard. A perfectly normal thing to say but hey, it's Gray, let's crucify him again because "he has an attitude".

Koke Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 Simpson was a wife beater. Vardy behaved like a racist chav. Leo refused to play for the club again. Mahrez is pimping himself out like a cheap prostitute. God forbid if Gray did any of these things, Foxestalk would shut down temporarily due to the sheer number of people foaming at the mouth with vitriol. Even after an U21 game where he played well and scored a great goal he still gets shit for doing a very benign interview. But something something attitude something....

I agree he gets stick for "attitude" when it could be just he has a naturally sullen looking expression ..... I do wish, for his own sake though, that he got more / showed more joy from playing .... He's not happy about not playing, i get that - So when you play DG be happy!! His face after the goal for England was so grumpy that he had to justify it - his justification "i'm not happy at not being played" ..... you've just played and scored and not even smiled!!! It's just not good for his well being, his chances here of playing, or his potential future moves to not enjoy his job.

I think his last 4 or 5 starts for club or country he's scored and assisted in most of those. It's not good enough though. Even when he makes the most of his chances from the start he gets nothing in return.
TJB-fox Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 Just like Chilwell he's got to be patient, I firmly believe their time will come very very soon and just hope Gray is here when that time comes.
lcfc sheff Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 25m player and doesn't even start for us, imagine what he'd be worth if given a fair shot.
Dames Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 The lad just wants to play and you can't begrudge him that. Though the frustration shows and impacts his performances because he's so desperate to impress - If he took a step back and composed himself a little more once he got the opportunity he'll be flying. Its going to happen eventually whether its here or at another club.
AjcW Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 6 hours ago, murphy said: He even complains about not playing when he's actually playing: Gray reminded manager Craig Shakespeare of his immense potential with a goal for England Under-21s on Tuesday but his muted celebration was a reminder of his itchiness at club level. “You saw I am frustrated at the amount of football I am getting,” he told the Times. “The reason I didn’t look so happy is because I am so frustrated. I want to play every week.” What exactly is wrong with saying that? It's desire, determination, we should be pleased he doesn't want to just sit on our bench! The problem is those are the two quotes he provided and then the journo goes and adds 'Fed Up' and 'Begged Craig Shakespere' neither of which he has said he's done. He needs a bit of media training for sure but he's said nothing offensive towards his manager, his team mates or the fans so why are we bothered???
AjcW Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 “I respect the manager and he picks his team. But I want to play as much as possible in the Premier League and at the moment that is not the case. “I just have to get my head down and get on with it and come off the bench or whatever, play well in a cup game and give the manager a headache. “But I get so frustrated when I don’t play and the manager knows I just want to play football. “I am not just going to sit there and say nothing. If I was happy at not playing I think that would be more of an issue. “People misunderstand this sometimes and think my morale might not be as good as it should be. But I just want to play football and when I’m not playing it’s frustrating because I know what I can bring to the team.” The full article/quotes... I genuinely can't spot a thing that makes me annoyed at him...

Danno Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 Should have took the £25m and ran, overrated bastard.
Guest rudi nuisance Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 A lot of people jumping on the bandwagon of Gray I think. He's never said or shown (refuse to play) that he's lazy or has a bad attitude.
RumbleFox Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 Aye, I think this thread should be closed. Wee bit of a witch hunt feel about it. X

A Leicester fan has openly admitted his frustration at the below par performance of self perceived wonder kid Demarai Gray. "It's incredibly frustrating. The dumbass barely knows when to pass the ball. I get frustrated and I'm not just going to sit there quiet." Said the Leicester fan. There, I can write shit articles too. Demarai, you are getting boring. Fix up and start warranting these demands for a start. Truly a legend in his own imagination

Lawrence. Chilwell. Gray. Certainly we won't be signing any young up-and-comers on the England 21-and-under roster.

It is yet another example of DG speaking out against the club. His form playing against kids might be good but it isn't good enough to start in the prem. He needs to respect the teammates that are ahead of him, namely Albrighton and Mahrez and keep his mouth shut. You can defend him again if you want. You'll prbably defend him next time and the next after that. Personally I'm sick of his petulance.

Wymsey Posted 7 September 2017 Posted 7 September 2017 The club have two players that are amongst the league's best wingers, that are unhappy because they haven't had the move they wanted since the transfer window shut down (Gray and Mahrez). Some could feel this could affect their morale here but, potentially, this could make them even more hungry to impress in view that, come January, more external offers will be put forward for their consideration.
