Hope this isn't like Brian Little's first game in charge of Villa at Filbert Street

It won't be

some hate him

some like him

and some are indifferent about it all

there will be a few boos no doubt (and deservedly so) but mainly clapping I guess

If people are prepared to stand and chant the name of a player who helped us win the championship, then the same should happen for those who helped win us the premiership.

It would be hypocritical to chant kantè's name but boo drinky, 1 year vs 5 years, one only tasted the success while the other fought relegation two times, played in the champions league and won the championship and the premier league!

Certainly doesn't deserve a good level of booing.

He's been strong for the club, but certainly not irreplaceable.

Hoping James can deliver in his place, though he should be given some time considering his last injury layoff.

This question assumes that he will have recovered from the mysterious injury that has been keeping him out of our team for weeks in time to play for them next Saturday. I wonder.....

James is going to struggle, a player who has had success in European football, and a player that won the European championships likely to be in front of him.

He a squad player I assume, and signed a new contract with that in mind

I thought he was injured

No, hopefully he will be applauded. Or at least not booed.

DD left Leicester for his own reasons good luck to him I say. DD should get a standing ovation when he comes back next week. DD has been a great servant for our club and I don't understand why some people want to boo him.

Pahahaha oh yes the injury!! I'm never sentimental about footballers; they're paid to do a job, that is where is ends for me and it is where it ends for them.

I never understand the support king gets for example, if he could have gone he would have!

They're no different from us, if he worked in a factory and left to a competitor he'd be considered just another rival, for me DD is now the enemy, treat him as one. :)

Clap him

but give Conte a huge chant for taking the donkey off our hands !

And before anyone pipes up yes he was decent in winning the championship and premier league years but since May 2016 he has been a dog shite donkey

Won't play as not fit!! Or was that a selective sickie?

Cant think of us ever selling a player for far more than he is worth.    Other than Akinbadbye to Palace

Schlupp?

Rule of thumb for ex players they get released, see their contract out, leave to get games, take a step down, or they are called muzzy and they get a rousing applause.

They go to 'a bigger club','for the money','feign injury' and then rock up playing for the oppisiston miraculously cured - then it's a little more complex. I'm a Danny fan but it's far too soon.

Bloke was brilliant in us - fvcking LEICESTER -  winning the prem but people still use last year as a stick to beat the bloke down with? He was one of the only players to turn up until Ranieri got sacked anyway, and November-Feb everyone looked relatively gash bar Kasper.

We may have got a decent deal for ourselves with Silva replacing him but there's no need for the lack of class...
