Drinkwater reception next week.

Great player for us, but by no means is he irreplaceable. I'm actually starting to like James and N'didi in the centre of the park more.

Nevertheless, he was a vital part of our title winning team and anyone that boos anyone from that team should look at themselves. £35m is a decent fee too.

A big rendition of:

"O Danny Boy, the shites, the shites came calling

And so you went, to take the guilded coin...

And now you're back, is that the bench you're warming?

When will we ever see you play again?

O Danny D, you left with little warning

And sat outside, whilst Barkley changed his mind

And now you're back, but few of us are mourning,

'Cause every cloud has got its Silva side."

If people are prepared to stand and chant the name of a player who helped us win the championship, then the same should happen for those who helped win us the premiership.

This is how it is.  Players play for clubs who drop them when they lose form.... and as they get older.  Or sell them if an good offer is made.

Drinky is 26 or 27 and has say 6 or 7 years left at the top.  He wants the challenge of chelsea. .  So for him it makes sense.

He has been allowed to go by the club who could have poured cold water on it but said nothing.   I think they were wrong .... we are not a better club with silva and a net 13m.  We just lost a playmaker able to live with the speed and hassle of the pl midfield.

Letting drinky go is a gamble for us.... and means it will be hard to attract top six quality players.

I think danny would have done better to stay... but thats his decision. I think the club should have been determind to keep him.   That is their decision.

When Kante was helping him out...

'Here's to you Danny Drinkwater,

You've gone to fill the quota and you know,

Woah'

Should do it

Only bantering.

He deserves a very positive reception. A player that has experienced so much with us and been an integral part of our championship winning, premier league winning, and CL QF team.

He deserves to be playing at a top level, challenging for trophies each year. Not sure how he'll fare at Chelsea, but wish him all the best.

Here's to you Drinky, thanks for the memories

Can't believe how many bitter fans there are ?

He should get a warm reception whenever he gets a chance to play against us. For everything he's done.

Part of two title winning teams, being one of our top performers the majority of the time, not enough? Ridiculous.

He's helped our club achieve unbelievable heights and should always be applauded for that.

I can't blame him for wanting to play for a big club as let's be honest, this opportunity is unlikely to come up again for him. Yes, he handled his exit badly, but we got a good fee for him and in handing in a transfer request, he forgo any loyalty bonus to sign for Chelsea.

He's a bigger hero than knockaert was and look at the reception he got.

So knowing leicester fans they'll boo the premier league champion who moved to the champions

He's just posted a very classy picture on Instagram. Don't know how to link it but he explains how he's left as a fan of the club and a big thanks to everyone.

IMO he should get a great reception but no doubt will get slaughtered and ruin the bond we once had.

Yep.

Personally think indifference is the way to go. I'm there to support my team, not him.

Do people really not understand the difference between a player who leaves against his wishes (Knockaert) and a player who leaves against ours?

This x 30'000 hopefully

shameful twat

He's moved to a much bigger club than us and deserves that chance.

He's served us well enough and played vital roles in two league titles, one of which was the top flight for the first time in our history.

Should be clapped x30'000.

Deserves a huge standing ovation from us. A fantastic servent for the club who has achieved the unbelievable here. A true blue and he will, to me, forever be a foxes legend. Very sad to see him leave.

Here's to you Danny Drinkwater!....... Leicester loves you more than you will know...... woooooowooooowoooo!

Sad that his return is so soon as he'll likely get a poor reception from a lot of our fans. Given time for the dust to settle I'm sure 99% would welcome him back for the unbelievable 5 years we've had with him.

He should get a great reception, just as any player from the title winning team should.

Knockaert rejected a four year contract Pearson offered him.
