Hope he fails at Chelsea and Silva becomes a star Although he did get better with us I never thought he was good enough. Too slow and too many sideway passes. I can't see him lasting long at Chelsea.

ScouseFox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 he was bood by our fans for half his time here anyway, he won't give a shit.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Won't play as not fit!! Or was that a selective sickie? Cant think of us ever selling a player for far more than he is worth. Other than Akinbadbye to Palace

Guest Cujek Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 We should golf clap chelsea for spending 35m on Danny Drinkwater, we will do nothing to dd as he won't even make their bench
ozvaldo Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 He never seemed to be that happy here (as in having a good relationship with the fans). So if he gets booed, he won't care. He'll just sit on their bench thinking of his pay increase. The way he's pushed through and handled his transfer hurts. I expect lots of boos but some will remember he helped win us the league (and promotion). I can't see him being a regular starter. Boring cûnt.
fox_favourite Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 I did have a lot of respect for Drinky, but that has gone. I'm not angry that he left (though quite sad) I'm angry at the way he treated the club who picked him out of Man Utd's loan out system to become a premier league winner. Putting in a transfer request, trying to force a move - show a little respect man!!! I wish him well and thanks for the memories, but my perception of him has be ruined.
CosbehFox Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Tough to say. Deserves a clap for his achievements Deserves grief for the cowardly transfer request
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Think Danny should make a statement about his time at Leicester ... like Nacho did with Man City which was classy and very humble and much appreciated by the Man City fans. Not sure Drinkwater will do this though.

st albans fox Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 He hasn't played for a month so he can't be match fit. Would therefore be surprised to see him play. IF he has been injured then he deserves applause. IF He has been suffering with an 'anxiety illness' then he doesn't as he has cost us three points at the emirates and another at OT which is, imo, unprofessional.
Samilktray Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Probably won't play because they have better players in his position

lgfualol Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Clapped probably. He'll cup his ears at our fans every time he makes a pass.
NewquayFox Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 If Chelsea had come in with a £35 million offer and signed him out of the blue he would have had the same treatment as Kante on his return to the KP, but he asked for a transfer and had this strange injury (but passed a medical) to prevent him playing for us. Never was my favourite player and after his performances last season I'm glad he has gone..... Every cloud has a 'Silva' lining, up the City....
foxfanazer Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 I'll be embarrassed if we boo him. Played a big part in our title win
reynard Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Personally I hope he would get a decent reception. He played for us for many games and was a member of the team that gave us the best season ever in the club's history. However, I would hope we wouldn't get a repeat of the Knockaert reception which IMO was a bit over the top. I don't really get the vitriol on here towards him. The club did not have to accept his transfer request and did not have to sell him but they chose to do so. Just as they would with Mahrez had a club met the valuation.
Mullet1 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 "Leicester has been great for me" this is is the only type of thanks to us from DD on Chelsea website. If there's nothing else anywhere then that's pretty bad form from him
Kinowe Soorie Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Polite applause/barrage of abuse, or vice versa
UniFox21 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Would expect something similar to Nacho leaving man city, considering we picked him up from man u academy with him being loaned to championship clubs every year, made him an international, made him a premier league player, a premier league winner. Everyone accepts players move on, it's just the way they do so and their reaction to leaving, just hope he gives Leicester the recognition and thanks we deserve for everything they've done for him
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 I will give my own team the usual warm reception He is irrelevant
billyn88 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Cowardly transfer request? So he's a coward because he went through the procedure you're supposed to if you want to leave the club rather than putting out a statement a la Van Dijk and claiming they were forced to submit a transfer request (ie I don't want to lose my laughingly titled loyalty bonus)? I understand his character can rub people up the wrong way but let's not go over the top. I'd be shocked if he appears against us. He deserves applause but a little banter about never getting a game at Chelsea wouldn't go amiss I'm sure he's expecting it.

If he does he will be passing it backwards as Kante plays a more forward role for Chelsea than he did for us. I just think DD is decent without being great.
