read my post above :)

I read it and it still isn't right. If a deadline is 01:00, that means it's 01:00:00. So 01:00:14 doesn't meet the deadline. I agree it's very harsh but the fact is we were in the wrong and there isn't much of an argument because it's a fact.

Lets hope FIFA allow the transfer with an appeal :)

If they bend the rule on 14 seconds, what's to stop a club next window appealing because it was only 60 seconds, or 120 seconds past the deadline?  We had all window to sign him and we left it too late.  This is not FIFA's fault nor problem.

You establish a 'margin of error' and say that's the only exception, and tag it with a fine. In 14 seconds technology could fail, or the timekeeping could be different.

Evidence suggests though that the paperwork was submitted before the deadline which would probably be the basis on any appeal the rules posted earlier use the term submitted not received,

His he a Leicester city player or not the club needs to come out and tell us this???

By the looks of that Sporting post we are probably arguing that he isn't.

Of course its the same .. its like seeing the lights turning red but deciding not to brake until 14 seconds later using your analogy.

No it's not. By all accounts we started the submission before the deadline and we failed to complete it all by the deadline. Ignoring that comparing it to running a red light is moronic to start with, it wouldn't be driving through it anyway, it'd be going through and the light turning red before you've completed your manoeuvre; something you can technically do - you're going through the amber: supposed to stop unless absolutely not possible. If you want to take the parallel then we've gone through on the amber, it's turned red while we're part way through. It's not running a red light, but it is poor driving to be in a position where you can't stop for the amber. But, of course it doesn't work as a parallel and is a load of bollocks

Is sacking too lenient?

Maybe have some stocks installed at the top of Burnmoor Street on Saturday or the Birch could execute them on the pitch at half time.

And then a club will miss that margin of error by however many seconds and we'll be right back to where we are now.

It is irrelevant when we submitted. It is the time that the FA request the IPC that matters and that was late.

Looks to me that the only hope is going to the CAS, but that could take time.

Great attitude, sack everyone that makes a mistake and don't give second chances.

What a short sighted and very foolish thing to say. We really really £ucked up the Maguire transfer now didnt we.

As an aside, do you honestly think Rudkin was operating the fax/pc/mfp? It was probably some poor administrator straight out of college.

Plenty of project managers in the world delivering their costly projects late.

Pretty certain it caused chaos at one of the London train stations a couple of weeks ago.
