What a short sighted and very foolish thing to say. We really really £ucked up the Maguire transfer now didnt we.

As an aside, do you honestly think Rudkin was operating the fax/pc/mfp? It was probably some poor administrator straight out of college.

The amount of times i have seen this argument. Its simple, the route cause was not buying before we sold.

Some really extreme views on here regarding deadline. Either, you have very nice black and white views of the world, don't want our club to be successful in this case, are committing yourselves to the worst outcome to feel better or just have an irrational hatred for Rudkin and the backroom staff. I for one have some sympathy for the club and want it done.

We have to upload contracts and tenders into systems all the time for our work. Normally, when it hits the deadline it locks, therefore blocking the upload. I'd be very surprised if the FA don't have a similar system, after all, we are talking about hundreds of millions of pounds across the transactions.

I don't know the ins and outs of the info but if (a) this is the case and we could upload it, and (b) we have a time stamp proving that, we should have a very good case.

If there is not automatic lock down, I can guarantee the FA will be pressured to putting one in pretty quickly. Again, if we have proof of in time upload, the FA will be incentivised to back us up, otherwise they'll look like idiots too.

Fingers crossed that we, and the FA are working to resolve this. The real person suffering will be Adrien, as he'll be in limbo, in a World Cup year.  He definitely seems to be our player, just a case of not if but when he can play

By the looks of that Sporting post we are probably arguing that he isn't.

It's nothing like that. Our club's football is managed by an Anonymous Sporting Society, which has stocks and is traded in our stock market. We are therefore required by law to inform the CMVM (our stock market managing comission) aabout any relevant changes in our actives, meaning purchase and sale of players.

And as per numerous posters, we aren't big enough to stockpile midfielders, it's not a hard concept to grasp, keep up.

Pretty certain it caused chaos at one of the London train stations a couple of weeks ago.

And i bet the commuters were happily laughing and joking about that lol.

We have messed up the last 3 windows. January when winning the league we could have done with another striker but they all went elsewhere, last summer was shambolic and when we finally look like its going well we do this.

We needed a striker in the year that we won the league?????? Let that sink in for a while folks... I can't take you seriously.

Great attitude, sack everyone that makes a mistake and don't give second chances.

Sounds like something out my employee handbook

So if Vardy had got injured we would have won the league?

Recap who we bid for in that window and then come back to me.

We did the two side by side. To do the purchase before the sale would be wrong on at least two major levels

if Chelsea pull out we have too many players for that area of the pitch

when Chelsea hear we have bought the player they reduce their offer - they essentially have us over a barrel.

It was ok until SCP changed their tack and began arguing over the price late on. At that point we should have pulled out but we made the call that we still had time. That was the error.

It is irrelevant when we submitted. It is the time that the FA request the IPC that matters and that was late.

Looks to me that the only hope is going to the CAS, but that could take time.

In that case the rule would need to be changed to state received and not submitted, it is terminology and legal eagles can often argue black is white and win hopefully common sense prevails.

Can I just say to the drama queens who are suggesting that we might get relegated... if, and it's a big if, we get relegated, then it will be for far more reasons than this.

...am I the only one that hopes when he finally signs in January he's actually proper dogshit, so after every loss between now and then thinking "we could have won that if we had Silva" doesn't actually feel like missed opportunities? Or is that just me?

I mean, I'd much rather we win every game between now and then, Silva signs and he turns out great but would be fvcking annoying if he's the answer to all our prayers and we were denied him for half a season because of FIFA/Rudkin/Sporting Lisbon's arsewipe chairman

What position did we try and strengthen in that window?

What are you even going on about? We failed in our most successful ever season because we didnt buy a striker in the January transfer window. Give your head a wobble.

FWIW I still blame Ross Barkley for changing his mind last minute.

If he'd signed for Chelsea then maybe we wouldn't even be having this mass debate!

We failed in the window not the season.

We tried to sign Doumbia, Niang, Aboubacar, Eder and Carillo in that window and failed in them all. It was widely considered that we had blew it on here.

We failed in the window by not bringing in someone who may or may not have had a positive impact. Righto crystal.

If they had signed Barkley that is exactly what i would have been doing now rather than arguing on here lol
