The only thing it tells me is that DD wasn't their first choice. He was their backup  option. Couldnt get their first choice so went with DD. I think you are over-thinking things.

That much is obvious , the deal falling through bit is all about not having the Cnut in our midfield for the next 3 months.

Yes not keen on relying on 2 of 3 from Iborra, James and Ndidi until Jan. All capable but if 1 gets an injury we have no decent cover and if we need to play 3 at the same time we're left with King and Amartey as subs....

I don't know why people are 'shrugging their shoulders' at this situation if it pans out this way.

 

Drinkwater was not to be sold if we didn't get a replacement.

 

If that replacement isn't forthcoming this week, it's a monumental balls up which should result in nothing less than a lynching.
