Hmmmm for some reason I don't get we have sold our playmaker. Ndidi and James are fine - but neither has the range of passing of drinky. So boys and girls - we need either iborra or silva to step up to the plate and be our playmaker.... or we are doomed. Now I thought silva looked promising... yet, If the silva transfer is w@ankered then we have reduced our chances of success.... does any one know if iborra can pick a pass? When will we know about silva (we ant the player and I expect sporting want the money)
Cincinnati Fox Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Rudkin is the manager of this department. Why it went wrong is irrelevant, he holds overall responsibility and therefore he must walk if this deal falls through.

Koke Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 If he wasn't coming Sporting wouldn't have omitted him from their CL squad. He is/was their captain so they must be pretty damn certain he's going. Adrien won't play against Chelsea anyway so it won't really matter when he arrives this week.

the fox Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 If I said it once, I said it a million times! Drinky is overrated! The team isn't losing much, now we are hitting 2 birds with 1 stone, having a box to box means that okazaki can be dropped, that's like upgrading two positions

1972 Fox Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 As said previously, I hope me and others are panicking over nothing here. But if this deal does not go through we really have proved ourselves to be shambolic with our transfer administration. Drinky wouldn't be allowed to leave unless we got Silva in as a replacement. DD ends up at Chelsea but somehow we manage to fail to get Silva in despite agreeing the deal with him and SCP?

Chelsea came up with an acceptable bid late. Then Sporting changed the terms of the deal late. It is lazy to blame Rudkin based on nothing but speculation, especially with Sporting's management being difficult, well-known pricks. Late changes meant paperwork needed to be changed. Likely quite a bit of paperwork. Rudkin just had an outstanding window, we stole a march on Tottenham and got an incredible price on Maguire, we didn't engage in any of the overheated, overpaying BS other clubs did, we got 35 for Drinky, who we all really appreciate but who just about nobody would've paid 35 mill for, I mean, good outcomes left and right -- we added 6 players who could realistically start games for us. If anything is pathetic and embarrassing, I think it is our posters crapping on Rudkin all the time without having any sense for his degree of responsibility for problems. He does look a bit weasel like though. Therefore he deserves it.

IMO there are far too many people in football who only know about football (sic) - most clubs are run by people who are beyond their level of competence... I have seen better discussions on here about contract issues that it seems those who deal with contract are able to grasp

Looked decent in all 3 games, losing to arsenal because of a naive mistake and giving united a run for their money.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Well, at least we got further than last year.
UPinCarolina Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Some farce this has turned out to be. What a shambles. You just feel it in your bones, don't you? That this has somehow fallen through?

Are you sure? the game would've ended 2-1 if kingy scored (but you can say the same about lukaku's pen) They steam rolled the last two teams, we let two goal in because of poor corner defending and an offside goal. Mahrez was pretty much alone with the keeper and he could've buried at least one if okazaki or gray passed it to him.

I'd love to see that ticket - was it in an average speed area or on a smart motorway or was it speed gun or marked / unmarked car? Because thats ridiculous and I'd genuinely have appealed that! It was a marked vehicle on a motorway bridge. I did appeal as a mate is a solicitor. He advised me to ask for the camera calibration certificate as most are out of date. Just my luck it had just been calibrated. It was him that told me the 10% is not law the limit is the limit no matter what. At the time northants was zero tolerance. My only hope was an out of calibration camera. I still got the fine but northants at the time recommended a speed awareness course if less than 10% over the limit. So no points and had to give up a Saturday morning.
JamesfromlondonLCFC Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 honestly though what is the ****ing hold up on this?
